Dr. Mullin, I’m thankful for all you and your staff do for my sweet boy. You’re the reason he was able to have another Christmas and Birthday, and for that we’re eternally grateful!!!

It's a holiday weekend and we are open 24/7, like always. We're 1 of the few hospitals open all weekend. We've seen many pets in the last 24 hours so we want to remind everyone - you will very likely have multi-hour wait times if your pet doesn't need immediate medical attention. We want to help as many pets as possible but we do have to triage in order of most critical, any euthanasias, and then by check in time.

Emergencies examples include:
1. Seizing
2. Sudden collapse
3. Bloody/smelly discharge from v***a for unspayed females
4. Trouble breathing
5. Trauma - hit by car, shot, attacked by another animal, etc
6. Not able to urinate
7. Toxicity ingestion
8. Sudden swollen/painful abdomen
9. Screaming in pain

Please be respectful to our staff who are working extremely hard this Christmas holiday! They are working as fast as they can and prioritizing the most critical patients. Keep in mind that if you are waiting to be treated, your pet is luckier than another pet who may have been rushed in for treatment. We thank everyone for their patience this holiday season.

Dr. Ron,

A little over a year ago now you and your staff graciously and lovingly took care of our baby girl. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named "Cami" Joy. She was admitted with very low Albumin and was retaining fluid within her body. You took the time to listen and understand how we as a family came to adopt our new addition and why she was so important to the fabric of our lives. We were able to bring her home within 3 days. This miraculous feet couldn't have been achieved without you and your staffs unwavering care along with the love and prayers of many.
Cami was and still is an amazing miracle in our lives as she continues to give back in so many ways each and everyday.
This past November 6th Cami celebrated her 6th birthday.

We wanted to extend our sincere "THANK YOU" along with our continued thoughts and prayers to you and your staff. Your exceptional and selfless acts of kindness and compassion displayed each and everyday to the families, friends and communities does not go unnoticed!

The nurses of our Emergency Department are truly our unsung heroes of our hospital. They are the face you see when you’re worried and unsure, they are care givers, anesthetists , phlebotomist, radiologist, the warm hug or the calming words at your time of need. All the while working through the night, the weekend, the holidays to give you and you pets the best most compassionate care.

“National Black Dog Day”, October 1st of every year is dedicated to our most devoted black dog companion. This day serves to raise awareness against superstitions about black dogs and encourages appreciation to adopt black dogs. Unfortunately, the population of black dogs is deprecated and a lot of black dogs are waiting in shelters for their adoption.
