Jason’s 1st Barn Hunt Lesson at Central Bark in Central Square, NY !🐀🔎
I’ve yet to mention here that I have been taking a short break from training. Thank you all for understanding.❤️
Ivy and her mom on a walk! Check that engagement 😍I love seeing this girls progress and updates !✨
First full session with ivy , without her muzzle !
These results aren’t day and night, and that’s okay. Consistency goes a long way and Ivy + her mom are living proof of that. So proud of their success ❤️
Training session in the rain with miss Ivy ☔️ Not much more I can say about this girl and her mom other than they are AMAZING and work so hard to achieve their goals 🐾💜

🔷Flip is not used to this sit stay stuff at home , especially not at thresholds. but he took to this REALLY well ! (Along with his vet appointment) of course his dog trainer sister is going to make sure he has a safe & secure trip🐾💙
🔷 Safety through thresholds should be a huge focus in your training especially if your dog tends to dart out of any door before you can even open it all the way. This exercise, once instilled in your dog, ensures peace of mind and safety for both you and your dog.

Ivy
Ivy and her mom took on County Max without me this week ! 💪🏻 Ivy is killin it with her long down-stay in distractive environments.🐕🦺
As much as I love working with my clients , it’s even better seeing them thrive on their own, reaching their goals and being a confident handler for their dog. Truly beautiful and heartwarming to see the puzzle pieces all come together 🧩
Tug with Cash !
Teaching CASH a fair game of tug ! 💰🐾
We’ve gotta work on his drop it command while doing this exercise but showing him what it’s all about and getting him to engage with the toy and handler was the first step.
🎾This is a great engagement and relationship building exercise. Keep a tug toy available that you only use while interacting with your dog (meaning the toy is not for free time use). This teaches your dog the specific toy is only fun when their handler is on the other end of it. You can practice basic obedience in between to make training fun and motivating for your dog. Teaching ‘out’ or ‘drop it’ in the middle of playing tug is a great way to build impulse control and to develop a good on and off switch with your dog!
And don’t forget to give them easy wins so they enjoy the game and come back for more !🐾
Ivy and her mom absolutely crushing it in new environments ! New places can be a little triggering for Ivy, so we really made sure to keep tension off of the leash, create space from triggers, and work through them in the best way we can using all the tools in our belt. So proud of this girl and can’t wait for our next session !🐕🦺❤️
