Ivy and her mom on a walk! Check that engagement 😍I love seeing this girls progress and updates !✨
First full session with ivy , without her muzzle !
These results aren’t day and night, and that’s okay. Consistency goes a long way and Ivy + her mom are living proof of that. So proud of their success ❤️
Training session in the rain with miss Ivy ☔️ Not much more I can say about this girl and her mom other than they are AMAZING and work so hard to achieve their goals 🐾💜

Took my dads dog Flip in the Doggy Uber for a vet appointment to get some stitches removed— 🐶
🔷Flip is not used to this sit stay stuff at home , especially not at thresholds. but he took to this REALLY well ! (Along with his vet appointment) of course his dog trainer sister is going to make sure he has a safe & secure trip🐾💙
🔷 Safety through thresholds should be a huge focus in your training especially if your dog tends to dart out of any door before you can even open it all the way. This exercise, once instilled in your dog, ensures peace of mind and safety for both you and your dog.

Ivy
Ivy and her mom took on County Max without me this week ! 💪🏻 Ivy is killin it with her long down-stay in distractive environments.🐕🦺
As much as I love working with my clients , it’s even better seeing them thrive on their own, reaching their goals and being a confident handler for their dog. Truly beautiful and heartwarming to see the puzzle pieces all come together 🧩
Tug with Cash !
Teaching CASH a fair game of tug ! 💰🐾
We’ve gotta work on his drop it command while doing this exercise but showing him what it’s all about and getting him to engage with the toy and handler was the first step.
🎾This is a great engagement and relationship building exercise. Keep a tug toy available that you only use while interacting with your dog (meaning the toy is not for free time use). This teaches your dog the specific toy is only fun when their handler is on the other end of it. You can practice basic obedience in between to make training fun and motivating for your dog. Teaching ‘out’ or ‘drop it’ in the middle of playing tug is a great way to build impulse control and to develop a good on and off switch with your dog!
And don’t forget to give them easy wins so they enjoy the game and come back for more !🐾
Ivy and her mom absolutely crushing it in new environments ! New places can be a little triggering for Ivy, so we really made sure to keep tension off of the leash, create space from triggers, and work through them in the best way we can using all the tools in our belt. So proud of this girl and can’t wait for our next session !🐕🦺❤️
Bath Time 🛁 working on making baths a more positive experience 🐾
Who remembers this sweet girl?🐾It’s been a minute since I’ve seen Willow and her family so we went through a quick refresher for everyone and got started on our 2nd lesson! Since I last saw her, the family have taken it upon themselves to teach her some well needed skills that are going to help us in the long run of our training program ! 💖 we will continue to work on the basics to set this little nugget up for the utmost success!😍
Long line hike !
Fun hike with Jason today on a 30ft long line🐾 All I asked of him during this hike was to come back further if he pulled on the long line -
Freedom hikes/sniffaris are so good for your dog🦮
A lazy rainy day snuffle mat 🌧️☂️🐕
Walters mom sent me this today and I’m so impressed by his skills! It may not look like much but just one day ago getting this big boy to sit was a struggle for mom. When you do your training homework and stay consistent, you and your dog can achieve whatever you set your mind to 🧠✏️📄
A fun little trend to compose just how far Jason has come in just 8 months❤️Adopting a shelter pet is so worth it, but not everyone is prepared for what’s to come with it. You may be so excited to bring your new dog home, to take them to fun places, to experience life right away with them and you may end up realizing you have an anxious, scared, reactive, dog on your hands and that may feel overwhelming for not only you, but your new family member. Whatever the case may be , be prepared and do your research. It does not hurt to get started with a professional dog trainer right when you bring your new companion home🐶🏡 3 days. 3 weeks. 3 months. 🔸3 Days : to decompress 🔸3 Weeks : to learn your routine / boundaries 🔸3 months : to start to feel at home
Miss Ivy showing off all her tricks mom taught her ! Ivy has come a LONG way with us in only a short amount of time. She’s been getting prepped and ready for her stay with @biscuiteaters23 Heather has been accompanying our sessions to build a bond with Ivy before her stay. Heather @biscuiteaters23 has a unique approach to boarding. As a trainer herself, she has an in home boarding environment that is stress free, so you know your fur baby is getting all the TLC they need and being treated as if they are family. I highly recommend Heather for all your boarding needs ! 🐶🐾
Practicing the ‘come to heel’ position🐾An intro for us to perfecting heeling✨
This is my 2nd session with Ivy and the progress she’s made in just 1 session is amazing. Within 10 minutes of arriving Ivy is completely comfortable off muzzle, taking rewards from me. With the right direction, methods, tools, and structure Ivy is off to an amazing start for being such a human/dog reactive dog. We’re building ivy’s confidence and teaching her that she doesn’t always have to be in charge, she can lay back and have full trust that mom is going to advocate for her every move. I can’t wait to share more about ivy’s journey and see where she goes from here 🐾It’s sessions like these that make this job worth while, being able to help owners communicate with their beloved pets is the most fulfilling job. Beyond thankful to do what I love. ❤️
