I use high quality conditioners and leather dressing to preserve and protect each lead. Every lead is carefully constructed following several steps to create a strong yet soft and supple high quality lead. I split the leather to create a uniform thickness, then bevel the edges to help with that smooth finish. Then I stretch each lace to test for strength and remove any fuzz or leather dust. Each l
ace is lightly conditioned, then the required number of laces are joined with a strong Dacron core. Then the magic begins! Your lead is braided tightly to help prevent excess gapping and stretching with use. If you select beads, I use a variety of different mediums, but mainly hand made glass beads from a vast array of incredibly talented artists. Once your lead is complete, it is stretched again to remove any remaining give, then rolled for that classic smooth and supple feel, and finally finished with a thin protective polish of high quality leather dressing. The final step is to protect the beads for shipping, tuck it into its very own canvas storage pouch, and ship it to you!
