We are located in the Rockport-Fulton, Texas area on the Gulf Coast. Our facility is located on 3.5 acres with lots of beautiful oak trees that provide wonderful shade for all our animals. Hours of Operation:Tues-Thurs 10am-2pm, Fri, Sat 10am-4pm. Closed Monday.

This beautiful girl is a mini husky/ Klee Kai. She is fixed up to date on shots and HW negative and microchipped. She loves going on long walks and spending one-on-one time with our volunteers and staff. She loves playing and having yard time with her friends. During an adoption event a few weeks ago he met multiple kids and gave many kisses. He’s been with us for 8 weeks waiting for a home. Malibu would love to be your new best! 🐶💗

Eleven playful puppies are waiting to be welcomed into their forever home. Two distinct litters of puppies, around three months old, are growing at a rapid pace. A home environment would provide them with the perfect setting for development. All puppies are exhibiting great behavior, a strong willingness to learn, and a high level of food motivation. Happy Friday! Winter is our pet of the week and she’s in Cattery 1 waiting to meet you. She’s very friendly with new people and would make a great companion. LOOKING FOR A FUN JOB?
We are now hiring for a kennel tech at our facility! We are looking for a passionate person to come in and dive into the job.
The kennel tech job includes but is not limited to
• Feeding dogs
•Cleaning kennels
•Deep cleaning kennels
•Cleaning water bowls and refilling them
•Walking dogs
•Putting dogs in outside kennels and managing them
•General Animal husbandry
• Loving and caring for the animals like they are your own
Previous experience is a plus but we are willing to train. Please feel free to come in during business hours to fill out an application in person and talk with us. We are here from 10-2 Tuesday-Thursday and Friday and Saturday from 10-4. We look forward to meeting you!! ❤️

Looking to add a new family member? It's Puppy City over here at the shelter!!! We have 12 wonderful puppies from two different litters who are looking for a forever home. They are all so sweet and easy to love. The 5 first black dogs were dumped at our facility and they are now 11 weeks old. The other 7 are border collie mixes who are now 12 weeks old. These pups would love to have a forever home before they get bigger. All of them are fixed up to date on vaccines as well as being microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention! These pups would love to meet you!! Come down and visit with them ❤️🐶

Hercules and Natasha (now Maddy) found their forever home this weekend!! We are so happy for these pups. Hercules was with us for 688 days waiting for a home. We are so happy for him he found the best home. Natasha will be moving to canada here soon with a very lovely family who volunteers here with us. Happy tails 🥹❤️

This is sweet Vera. Hard to believe she’s been with us for almost 6 months!
Her family is out there and we need your help finding them. Do you know a kind, patient and calm home looking for a dog of a lifetime? We want to hear from you. Vera is timid at first but warms up once she gets to knows you. She’s great with most women, but some times men can intimidate her so be prepared to go at her pace.
She loves playing with the other dogs in the yard, but is scared of cats.
They’re getting so excited for their Puppy-Pa-Looza party at Rowdy Maui tomorrow. They’ll get a good night sleep and see you all at 10am!

Rockport-Fulton Humane Society Adoption Center is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in Aransas County. For over 30 years all of our resources and efforts have been solely used in Aransas County to help save the lives of dogs and cats and find them loving homes. Because we are a "No Kill" shelter, we depend on the participation of county residents to help us fulfill our mission. As you may know the supply of surrendered, abandoned and stray pets is a never ending, constant flow. Thankfully we have been able to rescue and re-home a significant portion of these animals with your help and support.
We accomplish this with the help of a small professional staff and a number of passionate community volunteers. Funding comes from local donations and grants.
Our expenses include our facility on Myrtle Street, a lean payroll and expenses such as veterinary care, food, bedding and other necessities. There is always more to do than available people power and funds can accommodate. This isn't a complaint, it's a reality and an opportunity for you to personally make a big difference even with a small contribution of time or money.
Any help you may be able to give would be deeply appreciated and would help save the lives of animals in need in our county. Even a couple of hours here and there to walk a dog or play with a cat will help. It doesn't need to be a big effort or large monetary donation to be a big help. If everyone donated a little time or a few tax deductible dollars there would be plenty. We need your help to do more, whatever you can find in your heart to do would be appreciated and would tremendously enhance the quality of life of an animal in need.
Last, but certainly not least, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped in the past and is helping now. Whether you've adopted, fostered, volunteered at the shelter or donated money or pet supplies you are a big part of this wonderful organization. We're very proud of and grateful for the way our small community has shown it's big heart and civic pride in saving these precious dogs and cats.
