We are located in the Rockport-Fulton, Texas area on the Gulf Coast. Our facility is located on 3.5 acres with lots of beautiful oak trees that provide wonderful shade for all our animals. Hours of Operation:Tues-Thurs 10am-2pm, Fri, Sat 10am-4pm. Closed Monday.

We have the sweetest most easy-going bonded pair right now! Heartsie and Jack are a dynamic duo! Heartsie is 13 and Jack is 6 years old. They are kennel-trained and the most laid-back dogs you'll ever meet. Jack loves to sit on your lap and give you all of his attention. They got a nice haircut and a bath last week and they are so cute! They love each other dearly and they would love to spend the rest of their days together These dogs would love to spice up your home. They are both so low maintenance and would make such great companions. Come down and meet Heartsie and Jack today we will be here from 10-4! 💕🥹

It’s Thursday and these girls are ready to meet you!! Maple Sandra and Payton are all super people-friendly dogs. They all three happen to dislike hanging out with other animals but they are so sweet to new people. These girls are ready to bond with someone and be the best companions they can be.
Maple is 3.5 years old and has been here for 635 days
Sandra is 9 years old and has also been here for 635 days
Payton is 2 years old almost 3 and has been here for 705 days

Cheeses day finally came and he found the coolest owners who understand and love him so much. Cheese was at our facility for 7 months waiting for a home and everytime a cat got adopted he would try to get in the carrier 😂

We had such a blast at Rowdy Maui this past weekend! George Clifton and Helen had no applications put in for them but they had a great time!! George and Clifton made so many friends and kissed so many faces. George was so tired by the end of the day he came home and went straight to the mini pool to cool off 😂

Malibu- Hiya I'm a fun and outgoing dude! I'm around 2 years old and I'm very friendly and sweet. I get along well with other dogs and I am very bouncy and playful. Unfortunately I am heartworm positive but my friends here at the shelter are treating me for it. I have the most beautiful blue eyes and some silly ears. Everyone here is really nice but I'd really like to find a home soon. I can be an escape artist if I'm bored!

Helen is in her best dress waiting for you!! We are here until 2pm today and Helen is dressed up and ready to meet you. Helen is a 3-year-old lady that’s been with us for 7 months now waiting for a home. She’s so lovable and silly once she knows you. Kids can make her nervous sometimes but she loves the company of other dogs. Helen is a staff favorite around here and she loves to go on adventures to the park and she enjoys a good pup cup 🐶

Here are a few things that will brighten your day!
- Kurt was finally adopted! Kurt came to us in 2019 from a hoarding case dirty and shy. He was extremely scared and had no clue how to walk on the leash or cross doorways. After years of being at our facility, he slowly became a friendly and easygoing guy who accepts love. We finally had someone show interest in him but she lived in New Hampshire. So two of our staff members offered to drive Kurt to meet his new owner part-way in Tennessee to ensure Kurt’s safe arrival. All of his close friends here and his new owner pitched in to get the funds to drive him and we made it happen. We are so blessed to have such amazing adopters/staff members and volunteers. We truly could not have done it without all the support of the people who watched and helped Kurt grow into the dog he is now. Kurt’s new owner loves him and we are beyond happy to see him get to live the rest of his life in a loving home. It's hard to say bye but it's good to see you go
- Arizona was finally adopted! She found the perfect home so she packed up her bags and moved to Austin. Her new owners have named her Izzy and she seems to be so happy to finally have some stability in her life. We are so happy for you Arizona you finally found your Fur-ever home 🥹

Hello! I'm a rowdy and fun boy that's fiercely loyal. I am very outgoing and I enjoy going on walks and hanging out with my favorite people. I used to be so guarded and shy but after spending so much time here I decided that I love my people, especially the ones giving me treats. I would love to find my special person. I have so much love to give. I would do best in a low-traffic household because I can sometimes be reactive with new things. I need a really special person who is dedicated to me! ❤️

Get excited, y’all! In a few weeks this adorable litter of border collie / terrier mix puppies will be available for foster or adoption. They’re about 5 weeks old now and so much fun! They’re playful, curious and loving.
Included are pics of Mom (border collie who is also at our facility) and Dad (terrier mix).

We’re asking for the community’s help in finding our lovely Tina Turner’s forever family. She’s been with us over 3 years and is an amazing girl! Can you please share her so we can find her family? She’s been waiting way too long.
I can’t overstate how amazing Vera is. She’s gone from a terrified, malnourished mother of 11 who ran from people to asking for attention and affection of everyone who walks by. She’s very timid and needs a calm, gentle and patient owner who can help get her out of her shell, but man will she be a sweet, loyal and loving best friend for the right person. Is that you? Rockport-Fulton Humane Society Adoption Center is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in Aransas County. For over 30 years all of our resources and efforts have been solely used in Aransas County to help save the lives of dogs and cats and find them loving homes. Because we are a "No Kill" shelter, we depend on the participation of county residents to help us fulfill our mission. As you may know the supply of surrendered, abandoned and stray pets is a never ending, constant flow. Thankfully we have been able to rescue and re-home a significant portion of these animals with your help and support.
We accomplish this with the help of a small professional staff and a number of passionate community volunteers. Funding comes from local donations and grants.
Our expenses include our facility on Myrtle Street, a lean payroll and expenses such as veterinary care, food, bedding and other necessities. There is always more to do than available people power and funds can accommodate. This isn't a complaint, it's a reality and an opportunity for you to personally make a big difference even with a small contribution of time or money.
Any help you may be able to give would be deeply appreciated and would help save the lives of animals in need in our county. Even a couple of hours here and there to walk a dog or play with a cat will help. It doesn't need to be a big effort or large monetary donation to be a big help. If everyone donated a little time or a few tax deductible dollars there would be plenty. We need your help to do more, whatever you can find in your heart to do would be appreciated and would tremendously enhance the quality of life of an animal in need.
Last, but certainly not least, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped in the past and is helping now. Whether you've adopted, fostered, volunteered at the shelter or donated money or pet supplies you are a big part of this wonderful organization. We're very proud of and grateful for the way our small community has shown it's big heart and civic pride in saving these precious dogs and cats.
