We took two litters of puppies to the vet yesterday for their 6 weeks visit . Willie definitely showed off with these litters . From 4 weeks to 6 weeks the puppies more than doubled in weight . At 6 weeks these babies are 10 lbs . plus . Looks like ole William Nelson still has what it takes . I forgot to take pictures of Summer’s litter but I did take a couple of pictures of Angel’s litter. There’s one big girl available in these two litters .

Evidently I have pneumonia again . I had a very hard time getting out of bed this morning and I knew I couldn’t get much work done today and I had a lot to do . Thankfully my youngest granddaughter, Annie , came and worked all day helping me get caught up . She cleaned and disinfected the puppy pens and bathed “34” puppies. That’s a lot of work and I’m blessed to have her helping me when she’s available . She’s one of the few people I know that can take care of my puppies and dogs the way I do . I wanted to post a few pictures of these babies after their baths and they were dry and fluffy . These beauties are Summer’s last available puppies if anyone is interested in a beautiful Golden puppy . There is a purple collar female and a red collar male .

Stormi’s babies had their 4 week vet visit and first vaccination this morning. Everyone checked out fine . They had turned over their water bowl last night and evidently laid in the water . They were a mess . We just started reserving these babies Monday and the first puppy reserved will be living in Wyoming . I hope this little boy likes really cold winters,
deep snows , mountain lions and grizzly bears . He is the third puppy these folks have gotten from me . I will be glad to share information about these babies . They are going to be dark !

I always check on my babies every night before I go to bed . Last night I found this pretty little lady asleep beside her water bowl . Just had to share her sweet little face !

I took Angel’s babies to the vet for their 4 week exam and Parvo vaccination this morning and each one checked out fine . Looks like the ride to the vet made them sleepy so they all took a nap on the exam table. Evidently the ride home made them both sleepy and thirsty because after drinking all the water they wanted , they all fell asleep around their water bowl and yes they had just been given fresh clean water . These boys and girls are now ready for visitors to pick out the new addition to their family !

Summer’s babies are 4 weeks old today . They went to the vet a day early yesterday for their first vet exam and their Parvo vaccination. Their f***l tests were negative but they were dewormed anyway when we got home and they got their first bath . Everyone checked out fine, no problems ! They are now ready for visitors. If you are looking for a big and healthy puppy , you might want to take a look . These are Big Willie’s babies so they will be really nice Goldens . Angel’s babies will be going to the vet tomorrow for their first vet visit and vaccination. If their vet clears them they will also be ready for visitors. Both litters have beautiful moms and both litters are out of Big Willie . For more information or to schedule a visit please contact us . Yesterday afternoon my granddaughter and I tried to make some pictures of Summer’s babies . They were only 21 days old yesterday so sleeping seemed like a better idea than having their pictures taken . Some or all of these babies may be available. We have approved several families but we don’t start reserving puppies until they have their 4 week vet exam and first vaccination at four weeks . These babies will be going to the vet next Friday along with Angel’s litter . Anyone interested in these puppies or any of our other puppies , please contact us for more information.

Here’s what my work day looks like . Catherine is having her first babies and she’s having some rookie issues . She’s just not much help delivering these babies . Somehow I got appointed to work the back end and help the puppies being born , get them dry and hand them off to momma . She takes it from there ! I definitely got the messy part . Everyone seems to be doing fine !

Catherine has finally started delivering her puppies. She’s delivered 4 boys and 1 girl so far . These are her first puppies and it definitely shows . Looks like I will have to sit with her until they are all born . Thank the Lord this is the last litter this year !

I want to apologize for being slow to respond to all of the inquiries we have had about our puppies . For the last several weeks I’ve been slowed down with a respiratory infection and now I’m trying to function with double pneumonia. Plus 8 days ago I had eye surgery. The procedure went great and the only problem I’ve had is the post op restrictions . Seems like being around my dogs and puppies and especially petting them releases dog hair , dander and dust into the air which a lazered eye does not need . I’m trying to respond to inquiries as soon as I can . If I haven’t answered your text or call by the end of the week please feel free to call me , I’m trying to work as much as I can but it’s been a struggle. Pneumonia and temporary blurred vision are not your friends . We have a lot of puppies so please be patient and we will get to you as soon as possible. I’m sharing some scenes from our kennels over the last few days . Some of the moms had just delivered and weren’t cleaned up yet and the puppy bedding hadn’t been changed yet . Some of the moms had been in the pond and were a little wet and muddy. These have got to be some tough puppies.

Charlie chose to have her babies late last night and Stormie decided this morning would be a great time to have her babies . Why let the old man rest ? We have added 6 more boys and 2 more girls to our collection .

I’ve been watching Charlie closely today but she decided tonight would be the best time to deliver her babies . She is one of our prettiest and sweetest moms and with big Willie being the dad these puppies will be awesome as always . So far she has 4 babies and mom and little ones seem to be doing well .

This may not be a bucket of fried chicken but I have something a lot better, a bucket of puppies. Angel gave birth last night to 3 boys and 3 girls. I was going to move her to the puppy house today but when I went to get her this morning she had done all the work by herself and was curled up in the straw with 6 babies who evidently had been drinking plenty of milk. Mom and the puppies look fine and with a momma like Angel I think the puppies will be taken care of . They slept thru being moved to the puppy house !

Summer delivered her puppies early this morning. She had 3 girls and 3 boys and we lost one of the boys . Puppies seem fine but I’m going thru a lot of bedding and towels trying to get them dry. I let mom out to take a bathroom break and she rolled in the wet grass . So now I have a mom and 5 babies to get dry . Summer is already back to her mischievous personality .

Just took Rubi for her first visit to my family cemetery. We grabbed a couple of BBQ sandwiches on the way and had lunch on the old church steps. Evidently she doesn’t understand sharing equally. I got half of a sandwich and Rubi got 1 1/2 sandwiches. She’s happy and guess I am too !

I picked Samantha up this afternoon from the vet clinic . Her procedure went well and she is already back to her quirky fun loving self . Samantha is now officially retired . She was one of the best mommas and all of her puppies were big and healthy and all were beautiful . Hopefully we can help her have a great retirement for many years to come !

Yesterday afternoon I took Samantha to the vet to be officially “retired” today . I know she probably didn’t know where we were going and why but she kept her back to me for the whole ride ! Almost like she was pouting !

Piper has spent so much time traveling to the vet to get her bandages changed 3 times a week . I know she’s getting frustrated with the same routine over and over but she is being so patient. Monday her wounds were still healing like her vet wanted and as always she got a lot of attention. She could stretch out in the back of the Xterra but she has her own spot up front where she naps on the way home . Her nap always ends when we go thru the Jack’s drive thru for a biscuit or a burger. Thankfully one day these bandages will come off for the last time !!!!!

Last night my family and I got to go out and eat together. This sign had the number of wings you could get and the prices . Evidently the sign was just too close to our table and the temptation was a little too much for Keelan. At least he didn’t erase the prices before we realized what he was doing .

We have an eight week old female out of Daenerys and Willie that’s now available. I was going to keep her but I’ve decided to not add any more dogs to the kennels. If I’m going to retire in the near future then I don’t need to be keeping any more puppies . This “little” lady has had 3 vet exams , 3 vaccinations and 3 deworming . Piper got her bandages changed Monday . Summer has so much patience with Piper and does a great job with the bandages . Piper knows what to expect when she gets to the clinic and she seems so humble and patient with Summer . If there is a problem, Piper has a habit of leaning against the wall and that makes Summer’s job a little harder . Dr Jones said Piper’s wounds were healing great . On the way home Piper got her face and ears rubbed. Evidently it felt good because she fell asleep but woke up when she smelled the Jack’s biscuits !

A friend found this good looking dog on Lookout Mt. Alabama near the Cherokee Co. line . It’s definitely someone’s pet . It’s very friendly and playful and needs to find it’s family soon . She went to several houses in the area but no one claimed it . Does have a collar but no ID . The baby is presently at our kennels, has food and water , blankets to sleep on and a safe place to stay until it’s owner is found . I’m hoping it’s just gotten lost and no one dumped this baby. If anyone has any information on this beautiful dog please contact us at 256-717-3540 . If the owner isn’t found in a reasonable amount of time and you would love to give this baby a home please let us know .

Sam’s last 3 puppies are getting their last vaccinations and exams this morning and are all leaving this week for their new homes . This video is kinda boring but since all of these puppies are reserved I thought the new families didn’t need to see the other clips . This one shows just how sweet and calm these little angels are ! We decline to comment on the other videos but we would like to point out that we weren’t asked to leave !

Two days in a row during their “recess” time these little rascals have spilled the grown dogs’ water bowls and gotten wet . Evidently that’s a fun thing for my bunch to do . Treats kinda settled them down for a while . Some of these puppies are available to good homes .Contact us and we can provide any information needed ! We may call them little rascals but they are just being puppies and enjoying their hour of recess. Almost as soon as they are put up they are napping .

The big bandage on Pipers back leg is off and the front bandage is now smaller so she can be a little more mobile . She was walked this morning and she did good . When I got to the clinic this morning I got to walk her and give her a little outside time . She’s off some of her pain meds and that helps her be more alert . She took a bathroom break this morning when she was outside and she did for me too . Yes , I got a clip of my dog peeing but we are thrilled she can on her own . She’s still got a long way to go and she will be staying at the clinic for awhile but Piper is making baby steps in the right direction . We will take it one day at a time . Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

These are Sam’s 4 boys that are available for adoption. These will probably be her last boys as she will probably be retired this year . These guys were feeling good and showing out at the vet clinic this afternoon.

Samantha’s last three available females . These may be the last female puppies she will ever have , seriously thinking about retiring her. Even tho Sam has always had really nice puppies and she’s only 6 1/2 years old she’s probably going to be one of several mommas that are about to be retired. These puppies had fun as always at their vet exams this morning and the vaccinations were a piece of cake , not even a whimper from these girls ! Anyone wanting information about these girls just contact me and I will be glad to talk about Sam’s big girls .

Charlotte and her babies are doing great . Puppies will be 2 weeks old Friday , growing like crazy and eyes are now opened. Was going to change their bedding but I didn’t want to disturb their meal . Looks like 4 of the puppies didn’t hear that breakfast was being served. No need to worry, the food wagon is available 24/7

After I changed their bedding someone popped out her 7th boy ! Hopefully there’s no more .

This is little Maggie . She has been a part of my daughter’s family for a long time and was always one of my favorites . When my daughter got up this morning she found that Maggie had passed away during the night . Last Friday was her birthday, she was 14 years old .

Perk tests completed today and driveway started for the Richey boys . Due to the high cost of fuel and materials, any donations would be appreciated ! Cash is preferred !

Here we are in the ice cream parlor, several other folks sitting around enjoying their ice cream , funky music playing and someone just can’t hold it in any longer !

I think it’s safe to say that my little man wore hisself out this morning !

Intentions were to change their bedding but this is probably not the right time . Just have to wait until after lunch . Charlie’s babies are 12 days old today and them and mom seem to be doing fine . As usual Charlie and Willie have big ole stout babies that are beautiful and full of energy .

. So far Charlie has had 3 boys and 1 girl in less than 30 minutes and no visible hard contractions . She’s just spitting these babies out . I know I’ve probably just jinxed the whole deal !
