Have you ever visited the Gadsden Museum of Art? You might not think art is for you, but Ray Wetzel is here to tell you that the GMA has something for everyone.
Ray is the museum's director, and he and his staff are always bringing new shows to the GMA.
In fact, don't forget that there's an opening for two new exhibits tomorrow night! (5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2025)

Public Works crews are out clearing major thoroughfares around the city with the new snow plow!
They’re out and about, but you shouldn’t be unless you have to. Stay home and stay warm.

We’re under a Winter Storm Warning, so here’s some important information to know as snow and ice arrive.

• The latest updated list of warming centers can be found on the EMA’s page.
• If roads become impassable, please stay home. Also, if you see barricades or red tape blocking a road DON’T go around them.
• Friday’s garbage route will not run. Friday’s route will be picked up Monday (Jan. 13), Monday’s route will be picked up Tuesday, and Tuesday’s route will be picked up Wednesday.
• All Friday basketball games for Gadsden Parks and Rec have been canceled. The status of Saturday’s games will be posted by Gadsden Parks and Recreation.
• Ice skating at Christmas on the Coosa will be closed Friday, and the status for Saturday will be posted by The Amp.
• Remember to check in on your neighbors and take care of your pets by bringing them inside during extremely cold weather.
• Also, don’t forget to take some time and have fun!

There was a good reason -- the ice skating rink at Christmas on the Coosa is staying open until Jan. 31!
