The resulting paper, published in Nature Communications, found that free-ranging cats (including domestic and feral) will eat 2,084 different species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. There were even cows on that list, though they were probably the result of scavenging rather than hunting.

Have Cat Love come and trap your feral cats and have them spay/neutered, vaccinated and released trap-neuter-return (TNR).

More scientific evidence has surfaced to show that while Mittens may be your sweet angel, letting her roam outside is also a big threat to biodiversity.

We have some cold weather moving in for a few days here in Hokes Bluff, Alabama. There are many feral cat colonies out there and many ways to make some warm boxes.

With some new finishing touches, shavings, and a heat lamp and this “used to be feral” cat is nice and toasty.

Caught another feral cat and had to release it. This is because the private donor only wants to catch the cats she knows and cares for at her home.

This is an amazing way to help decrease the population although wish I didn’t have to release any unaltered cats.

Can we find a way to raise money through the city, get a grant or donated to Dog Love Foundation to sterilize all feral cats.

Join the mission to help decrease the population of unwanted animals by attending tomorrow night volunteer recruitment event.

We have another privately funded TNR happening here locally in Gadsden.

Dog Love has over 25 years working with cats and other fur babies. We can come safely catch your feral cats and take them to be spayed and neutered so there are no unwanted babies. This is a service for you and your community. Funding is provided by community members or donations.

Can someone help me understand what makes a person decide it is a good idea to place 4 kittens in a black box, taped closed and put out on the side of a country road that no one travels. They were seen by a passing local shelter worker that had this feeling in her gut that something was in the box. Thankfully they stopped and found them, as they were near death. Thank you Humane Society of Barbour County - Alabama.

I think it is so inhumane and I really want to understand the psychology of it? What truly makes this an option. Dog Love Foundation’s mission is to be A Loving voice in the community for the protection of animals with a passion to improve the quality of ALL lives. Support a change!!

If you want to help these babies please make a donation for them and other helpless heartbeats that are always out there wanting help!!!

Meet the most amazing TNR, and now adopted kitty.

Her name is “Cherokee” aka “Cherry”. She was found at Cherokee Rock Village on July 30th, 2021 hanging out on a picnic table at the pavilion. The person there said they had been feeding her but she belonged to no one. I figured she might have been left or lost but either way needed a place to go and be loved ❤️.

She was spayed and vaccinated at Marks Animal Hospital, LLC and notched her left ear. She was so sweet I decided to foster her rather then taking her back as she may have been injured or eaten by coyotes.

Well I fostered her and she fit in so well to the Dog Love tiny home family she stayed. Since she thinks she’s a dog, she fits right in!!

She is the best foster kitty sister. She loves the pups and shows them who is really boss around here.

Please support our TNR program. Looking for anyone interested in volunteering to writing grants for a program like this in Hokes Bluff, Alabama.

The Dog Love Foundation also is working on establishing a trap neuter and return (TNR) Cat Love program in Hokes Bluff, Alabama.

Feral cats deserve love ❤️ and care without reproducing. I have privately funded families allowing me to help them. To do more for the city there has to be funding either through the city or a grant.
**Anyone want to write grants?**

We have so far caught 9 cats. They are all healthy and back in their colony. And no more unwanted babies!!!

Ready for adoption. And they will not have any unwanted kittens.

Today is #4 of about 15 or 20 feral cats. This is huge in our community. Just from the three females that I have caught and that the private funding family has paid for all their vet care, we have decreased the cat population by at least 30 cats. Each one of those cats could have 10 kittens.

Who wants to help? If you’re feeding cats I’m here to catch them if you can provide the funding for the vet care.

Cat Love ❤️ TNR services has #3 in a colony of around 20 feral cats. Saving one cat one day at a time.

Currently I am having some struggles with this new TNR Program in Hokes Bluff.

The dogs that roam freely around the neighborhood are getting my traps and pulling them off into the woods and eating the food. My fear is that if I catch a cat the dogs are going to come and get the cat in the trap. This is another reason why our city and our community needs to be responsible and not have the dogs that are probably not neutered or spayed roaming the neighborhood.

And I know this is true because after Hokes Bluff CityFest this weekend I learned about a couple neighborhoods that have dogs roaming. They have been eating chickens and cats. They took my traps and causing it to be a really big challenge. But just so you know I’m up for the challenge. We will work together with those who want to make a change.
