What's on The Pet Nanny's mind?
Thinking about all the fur babies out there who don't have a family to love. It seems our area never changes as far as how many just toss their animals aside ...drop them in the road in the middle of nowhere to fend for themselves. What are these people thinking??? How do they sleep after doing this? I have picked many up ...if i can catch them and tried to help as many as I financially can but I'm not rich, I can't help them all. It's so discouraging that there is no end in sight and very little progress from local officials to put even a dent in the unaultered population of dogs and cats and abuse and neglect. Our judicial system Rarely holding owners accountable.
These are the things that keep me awake at night. All the pets spending the night in a ditch or culvert cold and hungry. I'm mentally and financially drained at the moment taking care of my own pets who are all rescues and several have serious issues. Would I trade any of them for all the money in the world....absolutely not! The joy they bring is what keeps me going. If you have never opened your heart and home to a stray....its unexplainable ....you just have to experience it. I can tell you if you have not....you are missing out. Open your heart, go to a shelter and let your heart lead you to the one waiting for you.
