Already been fairly busy so far but that said everything is getting better for hunting with weather, deer movement and rut cycles. With that said I feel like I should throw a friendly reminder and advice for newer hunters, if you plan to have your deer mounted make sure you stop when you reach the sternum when gutting and/or skinning your deer in order to make sure that you have enough hide for your mount. Most processors save this much for you. In Etowah County processors I recommend are Chris Baty (Reece city deer processing), Don's Butcher Block Deer Processing, Marshall County Yellow Acorns Meat Processing, Calhoun county Jerry's Taxidermy & Deer Processing. If you still have a mount here from this past season, we’re working diligently to get them completed. No mount will be here for a year. We have quite a few on the drying rack already and several more by end of the week. Please be patient
