This is a prime example of why we constantly recommend Heartworm Prevention. Although more rare. They can cough so hard that they can cough up Heartworms and very often blood will come up with it. Lots of blood! That is why a cough needs to be investigated. ONE MOSQUITO bite that has been infected is all it takes. It is so easy to prevent.

What in the world?? This is the biggest mushroom I've ever seen! It just sprouted overnight by the side of the clinic. The one is the size of a Frisbee! We're just so glad an animal didn't mess with it.

This is the litter of 3 with Mama in the big cage in our lobby. They are 8 weeks old and will be adoption ready in 2 weeks. The orange/white one is the female and the 2 orange tabby's are boys. We put them out there to socialize them and it worked. They love everyone! But...they have NO fear of dogs which means they cannot be outside cats. If a dog ran to them, they would not run. They have to be inside kitties. If interested, call us in a couple weeks. Thanks!

It takes anywhere from 7 to 20 days for a dog to get acclimated to a hot climate. It takes less than an hour to have a heat stroke. With that said, sunday it is going to shoot up to 95 degrees. We need to make sure those babies have shade, cool water or even a plastic kids pool if they can't come inside. They can't take care of themselves. It's our job!

This is what can happen if your baby has a vaccine reaction. The eyes, nose and muzzle will swell up. Typically this happens within 2 hours of vaccinations. Always be watchful after shots are given.
