HSCC Cats

A group of dedicated volunteers helping the Humane Society of Cherokee County place cats into foster,rescue, and forever homes. Foster homes are always needed!

We are a 501c3 organization- all donations, pledges, and sponsorships are 100% tax deductible. Our mission is simple-save as many adoptable animals from the Cherokee County Animal Shelter as possible through networking with rescue groups, adoptions, and any other means available to reduce the deaths of this community's discarded, homeless, and unwanted companion animals. We have five working days

to accomplish our goals. State law allows for animals to be destroyed at any animal shelter if no owner reclaims or rescue and adoption efforts fail at the end of this five day period. HSCC has limited space for the housing of canines and felines until they travel to rescue groups. Rescue groups and families interested in adopting, please contact [email protected]

(Make sure you state for Feline & Cat's Posted Name or description.) Vet cost for us per cat is $140.00. Services include spay/neuter, FELV combo test, FVRCP, FELV, Rabies, F***l check, deworming, flea prevention, and microchip. Adoption fee is $50.00 for sponsored cats and $140 for non-sponsored cats. 1. HSCC serves Gaffney and Blacksburg, South Carolina. We are dedicated to saving the lives of the 3000+ animals that enter the Cherokee County animal shelter annually.

2. HSCC is NOT the Cherokee County Animal Shelter (Impound) located at 300 Yale St. Gaffney SC 29341.

2. HSCC provides assessment, promotion, adoption and rescue coordination for the city and county's unwanted pets. We rely heavily on private donations to continue our life-saving work! Please consider a donation today:

Additional Info: Owner surrendered. She belonged to an elderly owner that said Medusa is so friendly that she wants to stay under your feet all the time. The risk of falling is too much for her to keep her.
