I think one of the biggest jobs on the farm so far has been the land clean up! Martin Land Management has done an amazing job so far helping us! This place has been vacant and left sitting for the past 5 years. The debris clean up is never ending! We are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel fortunately! It may not be perfect for opening day but one day at a time it gets better and better! We can't wait to see y'all on the farm!
The new arena...Eddie tested and approved!
The herd got to swap pastures this morning. They are having so much fun!
Rhea and I are out on a stroll this beautiful Tuesday morning! Today marks our one week anniversary of being in TN. There's so much work to get done but isn't there always? Take time out to enjoy something today! :)
Good morning campers! Remember today is picture day. Indoor s'mores is our snack. See you soon!
Some say "work smarter not harder".... um ok... 🤣 We love the way you come up with new ideas P, this one might need refining though. 🤩 #gottagettheworkdone #youllneverknowunlessyoutry
Congratulations to Lilly and Emma today! She brought home the Junior High Point Championship from the Diamond G Show today! Emma is our lil spit fire pony we bought for $300 a few years back. She's hard to handle most days but Lilly has her figured out! Nice work girls!
We are working on Jordan Creek South this week! Next week our schedule goes back to normal and we start preparing for June horse camps! We will have a horse camp each week until the move! Make sure you get your registration in soon!
Check out this camper! She's the oldest this week. She's been building on her skills and being a great role model for our younger campers too! Proud to have her a part of our camp this week. :)
This campers never been riding before today. A pony worth his weight in gold, some quick lessons before the rain hit, and positive encouragement is all it took to create this smile. She's on top of the world now! These smiles make every bit of hard work worth it! Spring Camp Day 2 starts soon! Daily rates available. PM me for more info!
Pleased to introduce the new protector of the horses... our baby girl Great Pyrenees puppy! Name coming soon! She will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and y'all can meet her soon (Feb. 28). Wanting one of your own? There's 5 left not claimed!
When the instructor is exhausted and requests a ride back to the barn! Thanks Mady and Buck!
Buck loves to pull the sled!
Ooooo look what we got! A winter playground! Dress for sledding!! Openings at 9:30!
What are you up to today?
Would it be easier for me to just do it for them? Yes! Would it be as rewarding for them? No! Be patient and watch them struggle a bit while they are learning. Did everything you learned come easy or did you put the work in for the reward? Cheer them on because they eventually get it and then they feel like they could take on the world! Long live cowgirls/cowboys! We got this!
