This photo says more than words ever could.
Every dog here — Kaldr, Blue, and Togo — is a rescued Husky. 🐺💙

They’re calm. They’re safe. They’re exactly where they’re supposed to be.

This is what rescue looks like when dogs come first. Not numbers. Not clout. Not ego. Not competition. Just lives saved, stability created, and futures protected.

We don’t aim to be the biggest or fastest-growing rescue.
We aim to be ethical, compassionate, and there for life — for every dog that comes through our doors. And if any of them ever need us again, they will always have a place to land.

Quiet moments like this are the result of doing things differently — and doing them with intention.

None of our dogs were adopted for Christmas.
I wish I could say I’m surprised, but I’m not.

Dogs like Cannoli have been here a year and a half — overlooked again and again by everyone but us. We show up. We advocate. We keep going. But some days, it’s hard not to feel tired and lose hope that anyone will come for dogs like her.

She isn’t broken. She isn’t disposable. She’s just waiting — longer than she ever should have had to.

We’ll keep fighting for them, even when it feels heavy.

Welcome Crumb 🐾

Everyone, meet Crumb — our newest floofy arrival!
Crumb is an approximately 5-year-old neutered male Husky who is now available for adoption and ready to find his forever home.

✨ About Crumb:

Up to date on vaccines

On flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

Sweet, affectionate boy

Dog friendly

No cats, please

Unsure with children at this time

👂 Ear note:
If you notice his ear looks a little funny, don’t worry — Crumb is currently being treated for an ear infection, and his ear has been tacked open to allow proper healing. He’s on the road to recovery and feeling good.

Crumb has that classic Husky charm paired with a gentle, loving personality. He’s settling in nicely and would thrive in a home that understands the Husky breed and can give him the love, structure, and adventure he deserves.

🚨 Let’s talk about what slander does to rescue — and to dogs. 🚨

This needs to be addressed publicly.

Marion J. Seitz is repeatedly posting false and defamatory accusations about Swampland Husky Rescue in an active thread (screenshots available). These comments are not only untrue — they are being used intentionally to interfere with our ability to help a dog.

The dog affected by this behavior is a 9‑year‑old Husky who, without rescue intervention, will die in a shelter.

Let’s be crystal clear for anyone reading:
• Swampland Husky Rescue does NOT “kill dogs.”
• We are a 100% foster‑based rescue whose mission is saving lives.
• We operate with veterinary oversight, ethical standards, and transparency.
• These accusations are factually false and deeply harmful.

When someone spreads lies under the guise of “advocacy,” the real victims aren’t rescues — they’re the dogs who lose their chance at life because help gets blocked, delayed, or sabotaged.

This behavior doesn’t protect animals.
It endangers them.

We will not stay silent while misinformation is used to undermine lifesaving work or intimidate partners into backing away from a senior dog who deserves safety and dignity.

👉 Call to action:
• Please report false comments when you see them.
• Share facts, not rumors.
• Support ethical rescues doing the work on the ground.
• And if you truly care about dogs — help, don’t hinder.

We will continue to advocate for dogs.
We will continue to stand on truth.
And we will continue to protect the animals who can’t speak for themselves.

Meet Callie — a sweet, easygoing 10-year-old looking for a new home. 💛
She’s great with kids, dogs, and cats, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has a low-maintenance flat coat. Truly the easiest girl to have around.

Callie is being rehomed due to allergies — absolutely no fault of her own. She’s gentle, calm, and just wants a soft place to land.

If you can open your home to this senior sweetheart, send us a message to meet her or apply to foster/adopt. Please share! 🐾✨
