🐾 Keep your furry friends safe! Here are some tips to prevent your pet from getting lost.
Who here remembers Louis? 🙋🏼♀️
This sweet boy was brought to AMC originally over a year ago. He was adopted several months ago and through no fault of his own, returned to us recently. 🥺 Louis is once again looking for his forever home. He is such a sweet boy and just wants a quiet home to cuddle up and relax. Louis is about 9 years old, up to date on vaccines and flea and tick prevention, neutered, AND declawed in his front paws. Louis seems to like his quiet time so he would likely do better in a home with one other quiet friend or being the only fur baby in the home. If you have any questions or would like to meet Louis, please give us a call or come on by! Please share this post to help us help Louis! 🩷😽

Grilling this summer? Keep your furry friends safe with these simple tips! 🔥🐾
1. Create a designated area away from the grill where pets can relax safely and avoid potential hazards.
2. Keep food and garbage securely stored to prevent curious pets from scavenging and potentially ingesting harmful items.
3. Always supervise your pets around the grill and barbecue area to prevent accidents or injuries.
After your pet's spay or neuter surgery, ensure a smooth recovery with these tips:
1. Provide a quiet, comfortable place for rest.
2. Limit activity to prevent straining the incision.
3. Check the incision daily for redness, swelling, or discharge.
4. Use a cone to prevent licking or chewing.
5. Follow your vet's pain management instructions.
6. Monitor their eating and drinking habits.
7. Attend follow-up appointments with your vet.
8. Keep the incision clean and dry; avoid bathing.
9. Give lots of love and attention to reduce stress.
These steps will help your pet recover well! ❤️🩹

These three little ladies are about 3 months old, up to date on shots, and spayed. They are each looking for a forever home. They were previously strays and need some time to get acclimated to new people but as you can see, they are learning quick! Because of these babies unique circumstances, we are willing to adopt them out as “barn cats” OR to a regular home environment. If you have any questions or would like to meet them, please feel free to give us a call. Please also share to help these babies out. 😊

This is why it is SO important to have your dog on heartworm prevention. A kind client of ours found a sweet dog roaming around and after finding she does not belong to anyone, he decided to keep her and get her fully vetted. Unfortunately she tested positive for heart worms and that is what you are looking at. This is a sample of her blood under the a microscope. Those little things wiggling around are Microfilaria (the offspring of adult heartworms). This sweet girl has a long road ahead of her but will begin treatment soon. 🩷
Our Medical Director and Practice Manager got the treat of flying to Texas for an Amerivet leadership conference where they got to see some familiar faces, some friendly faces, and one REALLY big face. 🐃 😳🤣 At AMC, we are always striving to learn more, grow more, and be better! 🩷
Sweet Mimi had been hit by a car and had a VERY serious break in her leg. Thanks to Dr. Mann, Mimi is taking her first steps pain free. 🥹💓
Discover the relief your cat deserves! Solensia offers a monthly injection to help manage osteoarthritis pain in cats. You’ll be impressed by the results! One client whose cat recently started receiving Solensia injections said, “I started Solensia because my 16-year-old cat was pooping outside of the box. 3 days after starting it, she started using the litter box again! Poor decrepit thing couldn’t posture in the box.” Contact us to learn more: https://bit.ly/3UQta7G
Introducing Librela: a game-changer in osteoarthritis pain management for dogs. 🐶 One veterinarian's heartwarming account: "We had a 12-year-old Newfoundland that suffered from bilateral hip dysplasia. The owners were contemplating euthanasia since he wasn't responding to current therapy. We gave Librela, and, in less than 30 days, the dog was running and chasing squirrels in the backyard."
