Keeping these pups in the woods — that’s where they’ll be made. You can’t finish out a young dog from the couch or the kennel. It takes miles under their feet and miles under your boots. Wearing out boot leather is the only way to bring them to their full potential. Every track they take, every sound they hear, every situation they face in the timber builds their nose, their grit, and their brains. The woods will teach what no man can in a pen — but only if you put in the time and walk it out with them. Boot leather is the tuition; the finished hound is the reward.
