Heirloom lima beans are growing into magic beanstalks! We’re wrapping up our season-/ it’s way too hot, muggy and buggy for most crops to survive. But these pole beans can take the heat and we’re having fun experimenting growing dry beans for the first time. How gorgeous are they???
We learn something new every season!!
Woohoo big thanks goes to @satchelspizza for choosing Brave Harvest to receive their quarterly community grant 💚💚 We will be using this money to mulch our paths with gravel, making the farm less mucky and more accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. When you support @satchelspizza and @satchsquared you have the opportunity to Round Up for Charity (RUFC) and the money raised goes to local organization doing good work. And you get very delicious 🍕 🍕 Thank you for all you do Satchel!
It’s just like… @afternoonrestaurant treats our veggies so well 🥹 The beet salad on special right now is worth its own trip 🌞
Big donation day for Bread of the Mighty Food Bank! Shout out to all the volunteers who keep our local food pantries well-stocked. This Swiss chard is going to children at Ark of Hope in Gilchrist County 💚

Volunteer hours today 5-7pm! The farm has gone through some major changes in the past six weeks— with the help of our volunteers we’ve chopped, dropped and covered our summer sunn hemp cover crop, and we have a bunch of new fall crops coming in! This is a great time to learn as you work about our favorite growing season, and remember volunteers always take food home! 💚
Happy Labor Day from Farm Baby Emmett. We went up to the farm just to hang out— watering with watering cans, picking flowers, looking at bugs, and harvesting peppers. He knew what to do without explanation! Kids are natural born gardeners 👶🏼👨🌾
Volunteer hours this evening 5-7pm! Holy heck the mild weather is startling but wonderful. Enjoy this beautiful day outside in the garden!
