Do Art with Yopp We offer a Creative Learning Studio for ages 5-12 on weekday afternoons. Our make-n-take studio is open to the public on weekdays from 10-2, and on weekends.

We offer a variety of pottery, mosaics, and paintings. Do Art is community based art studio that is fun, easy and a great place to have a party, create a one-of-a-kind gift and unforgettable memories. The studio includes all the services, facilities and equipment needed for the customer to engage in the artistic activities Do Art provides.The store staff provides the pre-fired pottery, supplies, a

nd a clean, cozy, and relaxing place to put it all together--plus idea books and a helpful staff to get the "artist" started. The customers provide the inspiration to create unique gifts with a warm and personal touch--like a mug with a child's handprint, a custom photo frame, or a bowl for a canine companion.

BIG NEWS! We are so excited to announce that we will be beginning a new adventure this Summer.

Our Thornebrooke Village space is closing, so please pick up finished pieces by Wednesday, May 25.

We are busy packing up, so the studio is not open for creating art. Stay tuned for our re-opening location for your next chance to do art in studio!

Join us for this exciting 6 week pottery series with artist Carolyn von Zabern! We will be learning hand building and wheel techniques as we create unique and useful pottery pieces.

Classes will take place on Saturdays from 2-4.

Artist statement:
My passions in life always have been medicine and art. I started making pottery when I returned to Gainesville, FL in 1992 after completing my medical residency. Putting my hands on clay has been as meaningful to me in creating a sense of wellbeing as working my patients. Over the decades, I enjoyed honing my skills, even completing an art residency at the Mendocino Art Center in California (October 2020). I have sold my work at different venues including the Downtown Arts Festival. I find great peace in art and enjoy portraying the beauty of our world in my work. I love teaching, both beginners and more experienced artists, helping them find enjoyment and peace through pottery.
