🚨 Meet Bruno, our superstar fighter and all-around lovable pittie! 💪💖 When Bruno first came to us, he was facing an aggressive heart-based mass called hemangiosarcoma—a tough diagnosis with a high spread rate. But Bruno? He’s tougher. 💥
Thanks to the expert teamwork of Dr. Ben (radiation oncology wizard) and Dr. Fritz (chemo queen 👩⚕️✨), Bruno has been undergoing a mix of radiation and chemotherapy treatments, and he’s crushing it. Just three months into his journey, he’s already defying expectations:
🔬 Nodules in his spleen? GONE.
📊 Evidence of further spread? None.
🐶 Bruno’s vibes? Immaculate.
This brave boy is responding beautifully to his treatments and continues to bring joy to everyone he meets. We’re so proud of Bruno’s progress and can’t wait to share more updates as he finishes his chemo protocol. 💙

November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️
Meet Arlo—a furry warrior who’s been defying the odds and stealing hearts along the way. 💛
When Arlo came to us over a year ago, he was in pain due to a mass near his right anal gland. Diagnostic tests revealed it had spread to his lungs and lymph nodes. But Arlo didn’t back down, and neither did his incredible oncology team here at VRA.
✨ With local radiation led by Dr. Ben, we were able to relieve his pain.
✨ Chemotherapy followed, tackling the spread to his lungs and lymph nodes.
Fast forward to today: Arlo has surpassed his original prognosis, is thriving during his second round of chemo, and is in remission—no evidence of spread in his lungs or lymph nodes. His favorite activities now? Enjoying treats and loving life! 🍖💙
Arlo’s journey is a testament to the power of advanced care, love, and determination. We're beyond honored to be a part of his story. Here's to Arlo, a true reminder that every day is worth fighting for!

Thanks to @pawsofhonor , a nonprofit supporting retired working dogs with veterinary care, Dory receives the treatment she needs, including chemotherapy to prevent the spread of her cancer. She’s halfway through her protocol and doing amazing! 💪✨

When Puddles first came to us, he was in crisis—a mass around his heart was causing life-threatening bleeding. Our emergency team acted fast, stabilizing him, and then he found a home in our oncology service. 18 months later, he’s a story of strength, resilience, and hope—outliving odds and giving us all a reason to smile.
Puddles' journey wasn’t easy. Three different chemotherapy protocols and specialized radiation treatments led by Dr. Sara Fritz and our dedicated oncology team, including radiation oncologist Dr. Ben, helped him fight his toughest battle. Today, Puddles completed his third chemotherapy protocol and is thriving.
Cancer is an incredibly heavy word, but stories like Puddles remind us why we never stop fighting. To every pet parent navigating the storm of a cancer diagnosis: you’re not alone. Our oncology team is here, with expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to giving every patient the best chance possible.
