After 14 years in business, almost 10 years of calling our farm home and welcoming dogs from near and far, we finally made it official 🐶❤️ Our permanent sign is up!

All those years ago, we had no idea how many paws would run across these fields or how many hearts (human and canine) we’d come to know.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of Dog’s Day Farm’s journey from our first handful of pups to the hundreds who now call this their home away from home.

Here’s to many more years of farm fun!

We love this video from Pack Leader Dog Psychology & Behavior because it perfectly illustrates how subtle dog communication can be. What looks like harmless play often includes dozens of small signals (tension, calming gestures, pressure, avoidance, eye contact, tail position, etc.) that can shift group energy in seconds.

At Dog’s Day, our team is trained extensively to read these cues and step in early to keep play balanced and safe. It’s not just “playing with puppies all day”, it’s constant observation and understanding of dog language.

Videos like this help show how much happens behind the scenes in a cage-free environment and why body language is everything. 👀🐶

*This is also a good reminder to be cautious at dog parks. Even well meaning dogs can misread one another in a group setting, so knowing what to watch for (and when to step in) can make a big difference in keeping play positive and safe.
