Do you ever wonder why I decided to start this business and why I’m so passionate about making these treats? I will gladly tell you my why!! I’m gonna tell you the difference between store bought treats and The Woof Pack Treats. Please take time to read!!
#1 Synthetic preservatives
They are often added to extend the shelf life of treats and used to save the manufacturers money. Many synthetic preservatives are considered carcinogens, which are dangerous to the health of your dog. In fact, some of the preservatives used in dog treats have been banned for human consumption, but they are used for our pets treats!

#2 Artificial dyes
Yellow 5, Red 40, Blue 2, yellow 6, are the most common in store bought treats and are absolutely horrible for your dog. They are chemicals, and so harmful. They cause lots of behavior issues such as aggression, and many health issues like: cancer, tumors, skin issues, digestion issues, anxiety, allergies and the list goes on…These colorful treats may look fun and appetizing, but in reality only slowing killing your dog.
*The Woof Pack Treats we use no dyes whatsoever. We try to find ingredients that can add a pop of color to your treats such as pumpkin, blueberries, and sweet potato. Those flavors by the way are our top selling treats and dogs absolutely love!*
#3 Refined and artificial sugar
Refined sugars and artificial sweeteners are added to dog treats to make them more appealing for dogs. However, refined sugar is not a natural or healthy part of a dog’s diet. Sugar can induce the same addictive properties in dogs as it does in humans leading to many health issues such as obesity and diabetes.

#4 Filler ingredients
Cheap ingredients used to bulk up treats without adding in nutrients. Consumption of these ingredients a lot of times cause many health issues long term to your pet such as bloating, food allergies, digestive problems, and diarrhea.

#5 Animal Byproducts
Animal byproducts are funky filler ingredients added to dog treats to save money on producing the treats. Animal byproducts are exactly what they sound like: any leftovers collected after slaughtering animal. The byproducts of euthanized animals and diseased animals can also be put into dog treats. Animal byproducts can range from the leftover digest of an animal’s stomach to all the inedible portions of an animal like hooves, beaks, and feathers. As you can imagine these ingredients have no nutritional value for a dog. A lot of times not digestible and can spread disease to our pets and lead to digestive problems.
