Apparently, 46 years ago today, the movie HALLOWEEN was released. It was made in 17 days for $300,000 with a young, hungry, ambitious and talented group of filmmakers led by and the late, great, Debra Hill. It changed the lives of all who participated and certainly mine. My favorite quote is from a book by from her book Special Topics In Calamity Physics. "Life hinges on a couple of seconds you never see coming. And what you decide in those few seconds determines EVERYTHING from then on... And you have no idea what you'll do until you're there." That certainly applies to everything in my life, personal and professional, and certainly what happened with this little movie. I'm grateful to the millions of people who continue to hold it near and dear to their cinematic experiences. I am forever grateful to John for the opportunity of a lifetime and I'm excited for Marissa's new book DARKLY!
