After my super busy spring and early summer, all has been quiet in the RottnBostons front. It’s been a nice long rest! The doggos and I have been busy with their yearly health exams and getting OFA certification updated and are all set for the upcoming fall puppies. I think it may be a repeat of last year, with most puppies being ready late Nov and Dec, with maybe some very early spring litter as well. We’ll see once all the ladies decide it’s time! 🐾🐾

Interested in what testing I do?

*Everyone is JHC non-carrier. They cannot pass on any gene for JHC (juvenile hereditary cataracts) This is a DNA test for the gene.

*OFA Cardiac (vet exam)
*OFA BAER (congenital deafness hearing test with specialist)
*OFA CAER (ophthalmology eye exam for hereditary eye disease)
*OFA patella (vet exam)

These are all (plus more) that our Breed Club, Boston Terriers of America, recommends for our breed.

JaneDoe’s first confirmation class tonight! She did better than expected given that I’ve not worked with her. This stack isn’t that great at all, but this is literally 20 minutes in on her first day. (It’s a bit dark, sorry!)
We have to fix it, but there’s a lot of promise!
