2024 Solar Eclipse Pet Safety

Just a friendly reminder - during a solar eclipse, it's a good idea to keep your furry friends indoors. The sun's rays can be harmful to their eyes, and the sudden change in light might spook them. Many pets react to eclipses just like they do to fireworks or thunderstorms.

I noticed that there's another "Meg's Pet Sitting Service" on Facebook, and she is also in Connecticut (Hartford/Tolland area). That's a different Meg. I'm still here in the Gales Ferry area of Connecticut. I am currently fully booked for the rest of August. My "regulars" are keeping me busy (you know who you are!! 😊), so I can't take on anyone new at the moment. Also, I will be away from August 21-24, though Ron will be here holding down the fort. Keep an eye on this page for updates, as I have a web page, but I'm not tech savvy at all and am having issues trying to update even a simple web page..... So I will post here for availability and updates. The best way to reach me is via my email ([email protected]), as it's easier to respond to emails than it is to text and voicemails. A heads up for Summer Vacation pet sit bookings. My schedule is filing up, so let me know your summer plans as soon as possible. There are a few dates which I am not available, for my own vacation plans or because I'm already booked up. These are the dates I'm not available:
June 10, 11, 12
July 8 to 11th
August 2-11th
I also have plans for early October, dates to be determined.
If you're a regular or are already booked for these dates, then don't worry, you're already on my schedule. (August dates, Ron will be in England, so I'm at capacity for what I can handle on my own then).
I can refer you to other area pet sitters, if needed.
