Everyone meet Wally. He is an 7 month old Great Pyrenees Aanatolian shepherd mix. He is looking for a new home. Due to human health issues they have to find a new home for him. Wally is a healthy, goofy, and happy boy. He is estimated to be around 90 pounds when full grown. He still needs a little work on not jumping and other normal puppy behavior but overall he is a good dog. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He likes kids and other dogs. Unsure about cats... has never been around them. He will be in my care until Sunday September 29th if you would like to meet him message me to set up time. Then he will get returned to the humane society on Tuesday the 1st. Please help Wally find his forever home!!

Happy 4th!! 🎇 I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful 4th of July. Be sure to take dogs out on lead tonight. Due to fireworks the dogs getting spooked a lot of dogs that normally wouldn't run away will. Be safe!!

‼️Our shelter is bursting at the seams and we are unfortunately unable to accept any dog or cat surrenders at this time.‼️

Currently we have 7 dogs and 2 puppies housed in our 8 inside kennels. We're expecting another dog tomorrow.

We have 19 kittens, 3 mama cats, and a pregnant cat living in our office, bathroom, and laundry room. We have 3 young cats under 6 months old. We have 15 adult cats in-house and we took in 3 more stray cats today. 2 more groups of young kittens are expected at the end of this week. Every kennel has been used and we're now using extra-large dog carriers for quarantine.

We are FULL and we need our community's help.

8 years of business!! I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who had supported my business over the past 8 years. If you came to me for just a nail trim or a 2 week board and train, I truly appreciate your business. I appreciate all the referrals and support you all have given me. Without all my amazing clients I wouldn't be able to do what I love everyday. I don't post as much as I should and sometimes forget to say thank you, because I am so busy... but I just want to make sure everyone knows I am very thankful for your support and business!!

There are a few updates...
BOARDING
I am taking new clients for boarding. I board dogs 7 days a week. I can watch your dog for just one night or for several weeks if needed. All details are listed out on my website.

TRAINING
I am taking new training clients. I offer one on one training sessions and 2 week board and train. All details for each program are listed out on my website. My board and train program is very popular and my soonest opening is the end of May at the time of this post. One on one training sessions I can usually get you in within a week or two (pending how flexible your schedule is).

GROOMING
I am NOT taking new grooming clients (this includes if you add a new dog to your family and I currently groom your dog). I will be honest, my goal is to one day not groom, with that being said I don't see taking new clients on for grooming ever again. I am NOT letting any of my current grooming clients go. If I have been grooming your dog for the past several years I will continue grooming them :). I am cutting my grooming hours back. So I will be only grooming Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (Monday afternoons will be used if those 3 days are already full when your dog is due). Grooming is a very physical job and my body has been taking a hit over the past 18 years, I know I can't groom forever.
I am referring anyone looking for a new groomer to "For Pup Sake Grooming" in Onalaska. Jamie is a groomer that I would trust with my own dogs. She has been grooming for years but is just opening her own business in January 2024. She will be renting space out of Pawsome County Club in Onalaska by McDonald's. So if you or anyone you know is in need of dog grooming please give Jamie a call and she can help you out!

is a GREAT source of information for attending your first show, but here are some quick bullet points to help you!
1. Parking is $10 for a weekend parking pass, entry is free! BRING CASH :)
2. We have many vendors selling lots of dog-related items, so come ready to shop!
3. Please ask before petting a dog. Most exhibitors are happy to let you pet their dogs as long as they are not getting ready to go in the ring.
4. Plan to walk around quite a bit, but bring camping chairs if you'd like to take a seat to watch your favorite breeds! Make sure to stay clear of the ring entrances and where exhibitors and their dogs are waiting to go into the ring. When in doubt, please don't hesitate ask at the club table and we'll help you find a good spot for chairs!
5. Please leave your dog at home. Due to safety concerns, no dogs not entered in the show can be on the show grounds. Please come enjoy the dogs at the show, but leave all pets at home so you have a safe and stress-free experience.

Unfortunately they are doing road construction on 54/93. It would be easier if you are coming from Holmen/onalaska area to go right at stop lights, take left at State Farm into town past Sunset Gardens. Us GPS to help you get through town. If you prefer to go the normal way, please leave early so you have plenty of time to get here. It is down to one lane, so it is a wait.
