Outdoor Adventure dogs Zephyr and Rocky enjoying their time out on the trails!
Rocky gets super excited when he sees new people on the trails, so we have been working on his recall skills to make sure he doesn’t run up to people and jump on them.
Zephyr typically has a great recall, but she has recently showed some interest in chasing wildlife on the trails. Working on her recall under distraction has been important to ensure reliability around wild animals!

The dogs enjoyed their road trip! I took a weekend camping trip to Oregon with my puppy Tiko, foster dog Doc, and boarding dogs Shadow and Addie! We made lots of stops to hike and run around and the dogs had a blast exploring new places.
I really enjoy bringing the dogs to new places as it helps their confidence and allows me to proof their training in new and distracting environments.

Stay and Train 📝
Training a dog can be hard - let me do the heavy lifting for you! Storm Castle Canine’s Stay and Train option provides your dog with all the same amenities as boarding clients in addition to multiple training sessions per day working towards your training goals. There is a 10 day minimum for this option. This option costs $150 per night and has 4 main length of stay options, although customized options are available; their perks are as follows:
10 Day Stay
Dogs that complete this length of stay will go home fully crate trained with general house manners and loose-leash walking skills. This program also builds a solid foundation for teaching your dog additional tasks, tricks, and skills.
20 Day Stay
Dogs that complete this length of stay will go home fully crate trained with general house manners and loose-leash walking skills. Duration sits and downs will be added to your dog’s tool chest as well, meaning they understand not to get up until released. This program also builds a solid foundation for teaching your dog additional tasks, tricks, and skills.
28 Day Stay
Dogs that complete this length of stay will go home fully crate trained with general house manners and loose-leash walking skills including a heel command. Duration sits and downs with be added to your dog’s toolbox along with recall and place cues. This means they will understand where to go, when to get up, and how to come back to you. This program also builds a solid foundation for teaching your dog additional tasks, tricks, and skills.
28+ Day Stay
Dogs that complete this length of stay will go home understanding all cues and mannerisms provided in a 28 day stay as well as additional, specialized training selected by the owner. Please reach out to discuss the many opportunities!

🏔️ Welcome Ruby the Doberman to our Outdoor Adventure Day Training program! 🏔️
Ruby is a rescue Doberman who has struggled with some anxiety. Ruby is attending our Outdoor Adventure program to build her confidence and help her be more comfortable without her owner!
Ruby also gets pretty excited about chasing squirrels so we are working on her recall skills to ensure her safety on off leash adventures!

🏔️ Please welcome Zoey to our Outdoor Adventure Day Training program! 🏔️
Zoey and her mom have done a great job building engagement and leash walking skills, but she’d like to be able to take Zoey on some off-leash hikes.
Zoey likes to chase wildlife, which can make hiking pretty stressful! Zoey is here to work on her recall skills and is being taught how to stay in sight during hikes, even with the distraction of wildlife!

Outdoor Adventure Day Training 🐾
This option has limited availability and is exclusively offered every Monday and Wednesday at this time. Day Training combines daycare and individualized training to support the busy dog owner by offering a program to teach and exercise their pets. Dogs enrolled in day training will enjoy a daily hike where we will work on trail etiquette and off leash obedience, receive individual play time with the trainer, and have a one-on-one training session focused on a skill of the owner’s choosing. Note: this option is most successful when done regularly. Day training costs $89 per day.

In-Home Boarding 🏡
You deserve a vacation in peace. When your dog stays with Storm Castle Canines, worrying about your pet will be the last thing on your mind. I offer in-home boarding, meaning your pup will stay in comfort at my home while being treated like a family member and receiving one-on-one attention. Being a fully immersed family member also means your pup will have their current training maintained by a LIMA certified trainer, partake in field trips, and romp with other canine friends if that’s something they enjoy. Boarding costs start at $75 per night with discounts available for extended stays.

Addie learning some off leash manners today during her Outdoor Adventure Day-Training!
Addie is a Heeler Malinois mix who struggled with some fear-based reactivity and because of that didn’t know her obedience very well.
Her owners have done an amazing job with her and have been participating in my Day Training program to help them in their training journey!
She has worked through a lot of her reactivity issues, so we have been focusing on her trail etiquette and off-leash manners!
