At Bluegrass Veterinary Hospital, we are a true family-owned and operated practice. Meet Cadence, daughter of Dr. Z and Dr. Lynch. She's currently enrolled at Vol State and has joined the practice as a Veterinary Assistant. You'll recognize her by her positive attitude, quick work ethic, and passion for medical topics. When not at work, she enjoys reading and journaling or spending time outdoors with her own pets - a Kenyan Sand Boa (Donna), an Australian Shepherd (Scout), and a Guinea Pig (Peanut).

Safety first! Check out some of our patients sporting their Doggles. Laser Safety Doggles® provides pets with eye protection during veterinary laser therapy. With laser therapy, our vets shine a low-frequency laser beam over the skin’s surface and fur to treat the tissue beneath the surface. The treatment is pain-free and very comforting, and most pets feel a warm and pleasant sensation. Dr. Vibert has been in the industry since 1999 (assistant, vet school, vet since 2006) and has worked with tens of thousands of animals. She has a chronic pain condition and this has made her passionate about working with senior pets. She is skilled at early symptom detection before it becomes chronic. Sometimes aggression isn't a behavior issue but a pain response.

"I know what it feels like to live with constant pain. I have great empathy for other beings who are in pain and especially those who depend on someone else to recognize and respond to the pain." Just as humans need unique care as they get older, our senior pets need specialized care too."

Dr. Vibert is a CAETA Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian. Bluegrass offers at-home euthanasia to their established patients within a certain radius. She is trained in various ways to administer the cocktail so that it isn't traumatic for the pet and the owners can stay with them the whole time if they choose to do so.
