The holidays are rapidly approaching. We will be closed on 12/24, 12/25, closing at 4:00 PM on 12/31, and closed on 1/1. If your pet is on prescription medications or diets now is the time start checking to make sure you have everything you need to get through the holidays. Due to Christmas and New Years falling in the middle of the week there will be shipping delays until we get into 2025. So please let us know if you need anything sooner rather then later.

23 years ago nearly 3000 people died in a senseless act of violence. Let us never forget this attack on our freedom and honor the memories of those lost. Pictured below is Sirius, a K9 explosive detection dog that was also killed in the trade tower collapse. His handler Lt. David Lim was rescued from the rubble after being trapped for 6hrs. Sirius's remains were recovered in the winter of 2002 in the wreckage of the South Tower, he was ceremoniously removed from Ground Zero with a full honor guard, in a manner befitting a hard-working member of the PAPD.

It only takes a few minutes for your pet to overheat in a car when it is hot outside. Even with cracking your windows your car will still reach temperatures that could cause heat stroke. Please leave your pets at home in the shade or inside in the AC if you are going out and would have to leave them unattended in a car at any point this summer.

We have some very hot temperatures coming later in the week. Please try to walk your pets early in the morning or after sunset if you walk them on pavement. Pavement in direct sunlight during hot temperatures can quickly burn the pads on your pets' feet.

Everyone please take moment to congratulate Hunter as she moves onto her next big journey in life. Hunter came to work for us in July of 2022 after completing her Bachelors at Michigan State. Her dream was to get into Veterinary school and she hoped additional experience working in the field would help her application. We are extremely excited to say that Hunter was accepted to Veterinary School this past winter. This will be Hunter's last week working with us as she will be heading off to school soon. Hunter is extremely compassionate, caring, hard working, and dedicated to helping pets. We know she will do great things. We will certainly miss having her around but we are so excited to see her chase her dreams. Congratulations Hunter, Veterinary School class of spring 2028.

We have a couple of exciting new additions at Gallatin Animal Hospital. Ultrasound has been an important part of our practice for nearly a decade. We just upgraded to the latest GE ultrasound technology. This will help us provide our patients the best image quality in the industry. We also now have a therapy laser that we will be implementing this month to help with numerous issues that occur on our furry friends.

Another beautiful white morning in middle Tennessee. We are up and running this morning. The main roads are dramatically improved from yesterday but it is still extremely slick out.
