Safe Place for Animals (SPA) is a 501c3 nonprofit, no-kill, animal rescue shelter/pet adoption center, low-cost Veterinary Wellcare Clinic and Grooming Salon. Safe Place for Animals is dedicated to helping pets/companion animals (dogs/puppies and cats/kittens) in our community in need. We take in, care for, provide veterinary services and medical care, spay/neuter and find new loving, responsible

homes for homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets. We opened our first shelter location in 2008 and have been open to the public every day since, 365 days a year (yes, even holidays!) We have a great team, including mostly volunteers, that care for all the animals in our facility. We rely on donations from compassionate and caring animal friends and receive no government financial assistance. Shelter Visiting Hours:

Meet Paris!😺✨This beautiful 8 week old calico kitten was rescued from living the simple life outside a Hilton hotel. She is now sliving in a foster home until her forever mansion is found.

Paris, and our other adoptable kittens in foster care, will be making an appearance at SPA tomorrow from 1-3 pm! Stop by to meet them and apply for adoption!

Meet Bambi!🐶She is a beautiful, young, fawn colored Boxer. Bambi is one year old and such a good girl! She is laid back and so sweet and loving, yet also playful!💕Bambi is fully vetted, house-trained and crate trained.🐾

Our Makenzie Phipps is back this week with a special “Take Me Home Thursday” video🫶🏼 Did you know that senior dogs are one of the most at risk groups in shelters as they are usually the last to be adopted, spending up to 4 times longer than a younger dog? With a 25% adoption rate, compared to the 60% adoption rate of younger dogs and puppies. With that being said, here is SPA’s longest canine resident, Mr. Dexter.
