🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that Sumner County Animal Services is now accepting applications for our New Volunteer Program! 🐾

We are still finalizing a few details, but here are some key points to get you started:

🔵Junior/Minor Volunteers will fill out all applications in their name. The Parent/Legal Guardian will sign consent in applicable fields.
🔵Junior Volunteers (ages 12-15): Parental consent required and must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.
🔵Junior Volunteers (ages 16-17): Parental consent required.
🔵Group Volunteering: We welcome groups! Reach out for more information on how to apply separately.
🔵Volunteer Informational/Meet & Greet: Join us on Friday, March 21st for a chance to learn more about the program! (More details to follow soon.)

We are thrilled to announce that we have rebranded! Formerly known as Sumner County Sheriff's Office Animal Control, we are now proudly operating under the new name Sumner County Animal Services. 🐾

Along with this new name, we’ve also unveiled a fresh new logo! 🎉

If you notice that our page or name looks a little different, don’t worry — we’re still the same team, still operating under the amazing direction of the Sumner County Sheriff's Office, and still here with the same dedicated and passionate staff, ready to help in any way we can.

Meet Mia and Tia: The dynamic duo of cuddles, with a twist! 🐾 Mia (the darker one) and Tia (the lighter one with the pink collar) are a fairly bonded pair, but don’t worry—if life ever calls for a little separation, we think they’d do just fine flying solo. 😎

These two are total cuddle enthusiasts, so be prepared for lots of snuggles and some serious lap-sitting. Tia might take a minute to warm up, but once she does, she’s a cuddle machine. Mia’s the same—once she gets comfy, she’s your new best friend.

They can be a little timid at first, but don’t let that fool you. They’ll soon be all about the love. Whether together or apart, these two are sweet, affectionate, and ready to give you all the love you could need—just maybe a little shy at first! 💕

Meet Julio: Fetch? Not his thing. But curling up in your lap for a nap? Absolutely. 🐾 Julio prefers quality cuddle time over chasing after a ball—he’s all about the snuggles, not the sprints.

When it comes to walks, he’s got the strength of a bull and a serious case of ‘let’s get there NOW.’ He pulls like he’s racing a train, so a strong hand on the leash is a must! 🚂💨

Julio is house trained and does well in his kennel—he’s a model tenant. But here’s the thing: he’s not a big fan of female dogs. As for male dogs, he’s pretty chill and usually does well after an introduction. So, if you’re looking for a strong, sweet, lap-loving dog who’s particular about his doggy friends, Julio might just be the perfect match. Just be ready for a leash workout and lots of snuggles! 😂

Meet Milky: He might not fetch your tennis ball (he’s more into watching it roll away), but he’ll definitely fetch your heart with his sweetness! 🐾 Milky’s idea of playtime involves the fun part of the game, like running in circles or pretending to chase squirrels, but don’t ask him to bring anything back… he’s not that type. 😅

He’s had the great outdoors as his playground for his whole life, but that doesn’t stop him from being a cuddle pro when the mood strikes! Milky does well with some doggy pals, but let’s just say he’s a bit picky—he’s got his standards. 😎

If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts playful and chill, Milky’s your guy! Just don’t expect him to play fetch… or do anything that involves a ball, really. 😂

Meet Hero 🐾: This little guy might not be a fetch fanatic, but he’s all about that toy-chewing life! Hero’s hyper energy will keep you on your toes, but don’t worry—he’ll eventually calm down (eventually). 🐾

Now, Hero’s got a few little “manners” to work on. He’s like that energetic little boy who loves to jump and nip—he doesn’t mean any harm, he just doesn’t know where his boundaries are yet. He’s looking for a family who’s ready to guide him in learning the ropes and helping him become the well-mannered pup we know he can be.

This is one lovable guy who’s eager to learn and grow! If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion and are ready to help him fine-tune his manners along the way, Hero will be your best friend for life! 🐕💥

Meet Thelma & Louise 🐾: These two gals may have had a rough start, but now they’re living their best, laid-back lives! Louise may rock a minor cherry eye, but don’t let that fool you—she still sees the world in all its glory (and it’s full of treats, obviously). 🍒👀

Both are pretty chill, love hanging out in the great outdoors, and take their time to warm up to new people—don’t expect instant cuddles, but once they’re comfortable, they’ll let you know with some serious snuggle vibes.

When it comes to playtime, these two are the best of pals. They’ll run and play like there’s no tomorrow, but when food’s involved, it’s game on—they might try to fight over it, so we’ve learned to keep mealtime separate. After all, nothing says “I love you” like not fighting over kibble!

Bo’s ready for a lavish change of scenery, and by “lavish,” we mean a cozy bed, some treats, and a whole lot of love. He’s all about upgrading to the finer things in life—no more sleeping under the stars for this guy! 🌟

Bo gets along great with other dogs and is playful, but sometimes he’s a bit shy—think of him as a laid-back social butterfly who prefers to take his time. He’s a quick learner and already knows how to sit, spin, shake, and lay—so he’s basically the canine equivalent of a trained performer. On the leash, though? Let’s just say he’s got some strength, so he might pull you along on his next big discovery.

Jasper loves playing tug and will even add a little “play growl” for extra fun. He’d need a meet and greet with other dogs to make sure everyone gets along, but he’s definitely up for the challenge!
