Tryggr went to the vet today. This fella has had a not great life before being rescued. A few days ago something under all of his fur was discovered, in the area he had always been “ouchy”. This area is what made us wonder if he had been hit by a car before rescue. Well, the mystery is mostly over. After the vet shaved the suspected “growth” area it wasn’t a growth. It’s was a scab like clump of dried infection. It’s suspected he was shot, the area he is from is known for this, and we just didn’t know until the wound opened back up.
After getting X-rays on his lungs and talking to the vet it was decided to switch from fast kill to slow kill. He didn’t do very well after the first fast kill injection. He had labs done to see if he could be neutered and have the mass on his elbow removed and he was cleared.
Tryggr goes for his surgeries 12/19 and we could really use some help to cover his next vetting procedure. ($900-$1300) is the estimate.
Pictures of receipts and estimate along with his wound and him enjoying his treats.
