Update on Lanning:
Miss Lanning had her spay and gastropexy surgery at University of Tennessee Vet Hospital. During surgery a nodule was discovered on her liver. It was biopsied and we are waiting on those results.

The rescue desperately needs funding to help offset the vet bills. Vetting isn’t cheap but is absolutely necessary. People have failed the dogs brought in and we refuse to allow the failure to continue.

Without support we can’t continue to save the dogs tossed aside, starving, abused, neglected, unwanted and unloved. Like, comment, share, foster, adopt and donate if you’re able. We need help getting the rescue recognized so more people are aware of our efforts and can help us all help the dogs.

Tryggr went to the vet today. This fella has had a not great life before being rescued. A few days ago something under all of his fur was discovered, in the area he had always been “ouchy”. This area is what made us wonder if he had been hit by a car before rescue. Well, the mystery is mostly over. After the vet shaved the suspected “growth” area it wasn’t a growth. It’s was a scab like clump of dried infection. It’s suspected he was shot, the area he is from is known for this, and we just didn’t know until the wound opened back up.
After getting X-rays on his lungs and talking to the vet it was decided to switch from fast kill to slow kill. He didn’t do very well after the first fast kill injection. He had labs done to see if he could be neutered and have the mass on his elbow removed and he was cleared.
Tryggr goes for his surgeries 12/19 and we could really use some help to cover his next vetting procedure. ($900-$1300) is the estimate.
Pictures of receipts and estimate along with his wound and him enjoying his treats.

Tryggr Update:
The sweet boy that was left on the street to die, like so many in Texas, started heartworm treatment today and isn’t feeling well. While being observed by the veterinary staff they notice he was having labored breathing. During xrays they discovered he has fluid around his lungs, most likely from the inflammation caused by the heartworm infestation. He is on medication for pain, a steroid and a medication to drain the fluid around his lungs. This boy deserves the world and a small rescue is trying it’s hardest to provide him the opportunity to live his best life. Please repost, like, comment and donate if you can. Tryggr and Dakota and Casey Rescue deeply appreciate you!!
