Despite vets and volunteers going above and beyond for nearly 12 hours today, Holly was not able to survive the neglect her owner placed on her.
We will be taking her for an autopsy in the morning to further our court case in the fight for some sort of justice. 💔

Tonight I feel like there were angels among us at the barn. Holly fell in her stall and landed in a terrible spot. Cast against the wall with her head in a corner. She is extremely emaciated and we had just learned how compromised she is with the results of her labs. It took a village but she was finally able get up with assistance. She is so weak and fragile!
This song popped up on fb tonight and I had to share. The right people were in the right place tonight to help. If she had fallen an hour later she may have laid all night and that would have not had such a fantastic outcome!

The new mares are safe and sound snuggled in their new blankets. It was a long day with a 2 hour delay but went as smooth as we could have hoped. Only gonna share one pic of each tonight but definitely follow us for more pics as I sort thru them.
