We have come a long way from day one! Between the IV drip, the splints, and the wraps it seems to have worked!
She has one more week of stall rest to make sure they stay relaxed, but we’re on the right track!
We have come a long way in paying her vet bills, but still have about $900 left to go!

Vegas gave birth to a healthy buckskin appy with blanket c**t, a mere 3 weeks after her rescue from a neglectful owner.

Our new filly has a name! We asked Sean to name her. He does so much every week to make sure things look nice and run smoothly at the farm. He took a couple of days to make sure he chose the perfect name for her.
Announcing Esther (Esty if you want to shorten for a nickname)

-Esther is thought to be forged from the Hebrew root s-t-r, which means "hide," (for our little filly her dad’s identity has been hidden from us)
-Esther is most often traced to the Old Persian stāra, which means "star," (our filly was born in the wee morning hours when the stars were out. She has a star marking
-Esther is the name of a queen
-Embracing many great facets of femininity, Esther is a stirring name to rouse courage and strength for all those who bear it.

If you see a horse that you are concerned may be abused, neglected, abandoned or at large there are legal steps that MUST be taken.
Report at large livestock to the local law enforcement agency. If you can stay to help keep the animal and the public safe that is helpful.

It is also recommended to contact local law enforcement agency to let them know you are concerned and reporting to the state.

Poppy's filly is adorable! And very healthy EXCEPT she was born with contracted tendons. Treatment is going to be costly and time consuming! Please help us give her the best available care!
