Dear friends & fuzzy buddies,

I hope this message finds you well. 🌈 After careful consideration and reflection, I wanted to share some news with you. As of today 2/1/24, I have made the decision to no longer take on any NEW clients. 🚫 This wasn't an easy choice, but I believe it's the right step for me at this time.

To all my current clients, I want to express my deepest gratitude. 🙏 Your support has been invaluable, and I am truly thankful for all of your trust in taking care of beloved family members.

🩷 I will CONTINUE to schedule services as needed for my CURRENT clients. When or if any changes in the current pet sitting schedule arises you will be notified personally.

Taking a break from social media is also part of this decision. 📱 It's essential for me to take some time away to recharge, explore new opportunities, and focus on personal growth. 🌱 During this period, I may not be as active online, but please know that I'll carry your support with me.

I appreciate your understanding and am looking forward to the new adventures ahead. Any inquiries or requests for scheduling you know where to reach me!

Thank you again for being a part of this journey.🐾

Warm regards,
Brittany Lane ✨

Mind Games for Mental Agility: Keep your pet's mind sharp with puzzle toys and games. This is especially important for intelligent breeds and can be a fantastic way to stave off boredom.

Routine Health Checkups: Regular vet visits ensure your pet's well-being. Vaccinations, dental care, and preventive treatments are essential for a healthy, happy life.

Happy National Standard Poodle Day! 🐩

Poodles may be the National dog of France, but did you know that they originated from Germany?

These highly active dogs were originally bred to be hunting dogs as water retrievers. Their job was to bring ducks and other birds back to their owners.

Fun fact: the poodle cut was designed to be functional over fashionable. Since the poodle is a water retriever, less hair would make swimming easier, however, it made them more vulnerable to cold temperatures. Hence the poodle cut was born. These puff areas of thicker fur are seen around their joints and torso to help protect their joints and organs from the cold.

How have you connected to your dogs roots?🌲 With each step, we forge a deeper connection, celebrating the age-old partnership between humans and nature's noblest hunters. Always grateful for my steadfast four-legged ally in every adventure. 🐕❤️

Labrador Retrievers were originally bred as working dogs in Newfoundland, Canada. They were used by fishermen to help retrieve fishing nets and catch fish that escaped from fishing lines. 🐟 Later, they were brought to England, where they were further developed and bred as hunting and retrieving dogs. 🦆Labradors are known for their excellent retrieving abilities, intelligence, and friendly temperament, making them popular not only as hunting dogs but also as guide dogs, therapy dogs, and beloved family pets.

🐇 Considering a new furry friend? 🏡 Rabbits make fantastic house pets for several reasons! 🌟

1️⃣ **Affectionate Companions**: Rabbits are loving creatures that form strong bonds with their human family members. Their gentle nature makes them great cuddle buddies.

2️⃣ **Low Maintenance**: Rabbits are relatively easy to care for. They don't require daily walks like dogs, and their litter training is often as simple as that of cats.

3️⃣ **Quiet and Clean**: Unlike some other pets, rabbits are quiet animals. They don't bark or make loud noises, making them ideal for apartment living. Plus, they groom themselves frequently, so they are naturally clean animals.

4️⃣ **Educational for Kids**: Having a rabbit in the house can teach kids valuable lessons about responsibility, empathy, and compassion. It's a wonderful way to introduce children to the joys of pet ownership.

5️⃣ **Varied Personalities**: Just like humans, each rabbit has a unique personality. Some are playful and outgoing, while others are more calm and reserved. There's a rabbit out there to match every family's lifestyle!

November 1st is National Cook for Your Pet Day 🐾 thinking about celebrating the day with your dog??

Here's a handy guide to safe vegetables that your dog can enjoy as tasty and nutritious treats:

1️⃣ **Carrots**: Crunchy and low in calories, carrots are excellent snacks packed with vitamins and fiber. They're also great for your dog's dental health, providing a satisfying chew.

2️⃣ **Sweet Potatoes**: Rich in fiber and vitamins, sweet potatoes are not only delicious but also beneficial for digestion. They make a fantastic alternative to store-bought dog treats.

3️⃣ **Green Beans**: These veggies are low in calories and high in fiber. They can be served cooked or raw (in moderation) and are a healthy option for dogs watching their weight.

4️⃣ **Peas**: Peas are a good source of protein and essential vitamins. They can be served frozen or cooked, adding a tasty crunch to your dog's meal.

5️⃣ **Cucumber**: Low in calories and high in hydration, cucumber slices make refreshing snacks. Just be sure to remove the seeds to prevent any digestive issues.

6️⃣ **Pumpkin**: A powerhouse of nutrients, pumpkin is great for digestive health. Plain, canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) can help with both constipation and diarrhea in dogs.

Remember, while these veggies are generally safe, always introduce new foods in small amounts to monitor your dog's reaction. Also, avoid foods like onions, garlic, and avocado, as they can be harmful to our furry friends.

Treat your canine companion to some tasty veggies today! 🥕🍠🥒 Your dog's tail will surely wag with gratitude! 🐶❤️

Wants a simple and easy recipe for your own homemade dog treats? How about Peanut Butter and Banana 🍌

**Ingredients:**
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter (make sure it doesn't contain xylitol)
- 1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
- 1/4 cup water or low-sodium chicken broth

**Instructions:**

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.

3. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, warm the peanut butter in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds until it becomes slightly softened. Add the mashed banana and water (or chicken broth) to the peanut butter and mix well.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, you can add a little more water or chicken broth, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.

5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Have fun with it! Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or simply use a knife to cut the dough into small squares.

6. Place the shaped treats onto the prepared baking sheet. They can be placed close together as they won't spread much during baking.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the treats are golden brown and firm to the touch.

8. Remove from the oven and let the treats cool completely on a wire rack.

9. Once cooled, store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.

Your furry friend will surely appreciate these tasty homemade treats! Enjoy baking for your dog! 🐾🦴
