I had an incredible opportunity to help this little foster dude, Adam, today! He is an 11-month-old Shihtzu pup who has minimal experience in a grooming salon. He was very anxious and reactive at first, but with a little love and extra reassurance, he tolerated his first haircut so well. Working with dogs like this, being able to watch the switch between fearful shelter pup flip to understanding what love is; there is nothing more gratifying or fulfilling. I wish I took video to be able to share that moment with you.

Humanity over vanity, every time ✂️❤️‍🩹
Chloe the goldendoodle came in today in pretty rough shape. Despite her owner’s effort to keep her hair long, most of the length was unsalvageable. Her undercoat was matted which trapped burrs and dirt, causing some pretty gnarly irritation to her skin. Doodles have drastically varying coat texture, most of which are difficult to maintain. A regular grooming schedule and consistent brushing are the key to keeping a soft, fluffy coat 🫧
