Hi, I am Daniel Berg and my family and I live in Gallup, NM, and we operate a very small American Bulldog breeding program dedicated to producing stable, functional, American Bulldogs. We believe American Bulldogs to be superior family friends and family guardians.

Let’s talk about Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS). The purpose is to place the young puppy under short periods of minor stress in order to strengthen their hearts, their overall health, and their resilience to stress in general. Studies show that doing these short ENS exercises will give the dog a stronger and faster reacting adrenal system, a stronger heart beat, improved blood circulation, a stronger immune system, and it will be better at dealing with stress FOR THE REST OF ITS LIFE! Doing these exercises from day 3 to day 16 can give puppies a better chance at living their best lives. These exercises only take 5-7 seconds each. First I hold the puppy upside down for 5 to 7 seconds. Then I hold the puppy straight up for 5 to 7 seconds. Then I hold the puppy on its back for 5 to 7 seconds. Then I tickle each foot with my finger for 5 to 7 seconds each. Then I place the puppy on an ice pack for 5 to 7 seconds. The calmer they are for the whole process the higher the score. The more they wiggle and make noises the lower the score. Over the two weeks of doing this the puppies get better at these exercises. These scores will go home with the puppies at 9 weeks.
We also give them plenty of cuddles and we spend time clipping their tiny nails to keep mom from getting too scratched up. My children have already been holding them too. They can’t get enough of the puppies.

Happy Sunday everyone! The puppies are 10 days old today! Right now the blue, sky blue, and yellow collar puppies are proving to be the chunkers. Orange is the only one that is noticeably smaller than the others. However, all are very active and vigorous puppies. I love seeing them grow each day.

Dezzi, aka Big Mama, is growing! She is also getting used to her new digs in the guest room. Pups are expected in two weeks. This should be a temperamentally balanced, drivey, and athletic litter.

Dezzi struttin her stuff

Dezzi’s PennHip results are in! LEFT is .19 and RIGHT is .35. I wish that right side was tighter, but oh well. Still a good candidate for breeding. And she moves like a dream! (See comments for screenshot of results)
