Meet Atlas, a young Anatolian Shepherd / Siberian Husky Mix! This handsome boy has been with us in foster care and is eagerly looking for his forever home!

Atlas is approximately 1 year and 9 months old. He is energetic, playful, motivated and enjoys training using positive methods!

Atlas does have prey drive so he needs a home without cats and other critters. Due to his higher energy and puppy goofiness, Atlas would do best in a home with kids ages 13 and up.

Atlas is super social with people and loves attention from anyone willing to give it. This young guy loves romping around with dogs however he can be a bit pushy to play and doesn’t always read when other dogs are done and want space, though he is learning.

An ideal home for Atlas is one with no cats or other critters. An active household who enjoys running and hiking. Due to Atlas’ being aloof around dogs (the husky in him!), he’d be great as an only dog, or in a home willing to take their time and slowly integrate should the resident dog be a match. A tolerant female, medium to large in size would be a good match for this handsome fella. Atlas also loves being outside so a home with a backyard would do him great!

Atlas is still very much a puppy on the inside. He’s bouncy, energetic and very playful. He does require dailyexercise, both mentally and physically.

This handsome little guy is Thor!

Thor is with us for a short stay to work on cooperation and being a better listener.

You can’t tell from the video, but we learned quickly that Thor LOVES to play the “chase me” game. Thor has learned that 4 legs, as short as his might be, can outrun a human with only 2 🙂

And so here we are teaching Thor the idea that when HE chooses to come and engage with us, he gets rewarded for it, without being pressured or forced to do it.

This way Thor is making the connection that cooperation can be quite fun, and that he doesn’t have a reason to run away as we work toward diminishing his “chase me” game shenanigans 😊🐾

While we love when Willie (yellow lab) comes for doggy daycare, yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting his newly adopted brother, Kirbie (black lab).

Needless to say, these boys had a blast meeting new and reuniting with old friends during playgroup 🐾 😊
