Happy 2025!

To celebrate we are starting our yearly holter testing!
What is a holter?
“A Holter monitor is a portable device that monitors a patient's heart activity for at least 24 hours. It's a type of ambulatory electrocardiography device that records every heartbeat and can provide information on the patient's average, minimum, and maximum heart rate. Holter monitors are used to detect irregular heartbeats, also known as arrhythmias” -wikipedia

Once 24 hours has passed we will send this off to be analyzed and a report returned. This is to ensure our dog’s hearts are healthy and normal. We do this at least once a year.

Khane is first, he got his LEDs hooked up under a protection vest and then the monitor goes in the handy vest pocket. It’s so nice to have technology that allows us to do this.

Puppy breakfast recipe

Hamburger. I use patties because I can surprisingly get them cheaper than the chubs. I use the high fat hamburger.

Tripe- Tripe comes in chunks so I grind it up. That way everyone gets some.

Chicken with bone marrow- This is chicken, either whole chicken or chicken quarters that has been put in the crockpot for 24hrs. Then everything, bones and all are mashed up together. After being in the crockpot bones become soft and mushy so puppies get the benefit of bones and bone marrow without choking hazard.

Probiotic- we use fortiflora from Purina. You can get this from Chewy

Hawthorn Berry- all of our dogs get Hawthorn berry. This is an amazing herb for heart health. It’s never too early to start your dogs on herbs that will give them a long and healthy life.

Kibble- I use Pro Plan Sport

Boiling water and let sit till soggy.

What a whirlwind for this boy.
Multiple Best of Breed/ Working Group1 in the 4-6 month all Breed shows
Limited handling by me for a few wins and then the past three Show weekends, Boom! Twice Best of Breed from the classes, and today Winners Dog /Best of Winners and Best Puppy at the Southern Nevada Boxer Club under Judge Susan St John Brown. New Champion.
