Hi all!

I know many of you have been curious about how my new job is going, and I have been sharing periodic updates both on my personal Facebook and my Instagram account (). I also realize many of you don’t have me on either of those accounts, so I figured I would post an update on here!

I started with the Illinois Natural History Survey on the UMR crew about a week after my college graduation. I’ve worked there for a little over 3 weeks now and I love it so far!! I am helping with various projects centered mainly around invasive carp removal from pools 14-19 of the Mississippi River. I have gotten to work alongside commercial fishermen and help harvest these invasive carp that are caught in their nets. We take these carp to be processed and turned into catfish bait, pet food, etc. I have learned so much and am continuing to learn more and more each day.

I also want to just extend my gratitude for all of your support and love over the years and for the amazing network of people I’ve created through pet sitting. You guys are seriously the best!!

Hello all, happy Saturday!

With graduation quickly approaching I have some news to share with you all. Bad news first; at least for most of the summer, I will not be available for pet sitting. Here’s the good news: I recently accepted an offer for a position with the Illinois Natural History Survey - Prairie Research Institute out of Macomb, IL. If you know me you know how passionate I am about our waters and wildlife, and with this job I will be working alongside both!😁

I just want to extend my utmost appreciation to you all for your never ending support and kindness over the last few years. Who would’ve thought that a job like pet sitting would help me create such an amazing network of people!?❤️ My sincerest gratitude is extended to you all and I will keep you posted with any potential availability in the future.

Hello all, hope you’re staying warm and safe in this crazy weather!🥶🥶

I will be heading back to school within the next couple days and just want to extend a thank you to all those who have trusted me with all their animals this past year. It means the world to me that you all entrust me with caring for your fur babies!

That being said, I won’t be home for an extended period of time until spring break which is March 11th-17th. However, if you need a pet sitter over the weekend don’t hesitate to get ahold of me and we can try to work something out.

Hi everyone, I hope this post finds you well!

As we all know, the holidays are right around the corner. I’ll be home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and probably New Year’s Day also.

To map out the dates for sure, I’ll be home for Thanksgiving break from November 20th-26th. I’ll be home for Christmas break from December 15th-January 15th.

Please keep me in mind for your pet sitting needs around the holidays, but also remember I will be spending time with my family & friends too. My availability will be limited, especially on Thanksgiving & Christmas Eve/Day. Don’t hesitate to message me and we can try to work something out.

Hi everybody!😁

With summer beginning to wind down I just wanted to thank those of you who have recommended me to your friends/family or just gotten my name out there in general! I really appreciate it!❤️ Also a huge thank you to those of you who have continually hired me each summer. It means so so much to me that you trust me enough to take care of your pets while you’re busy or out of town.

With that being said I will be heading back to school towards the middle of August. I have enjoyed meeting new clients and catching up with old ones, too. I have developed so many valuable relationships these past couple summers and I am so thankful for each and every one of you!

Thanks for another summer full of love & happy animals!🐱🐶🐰 I will continue to keep you all posted when I come home from school for breaks/holidays.

Hello all!

I will be finishing up with school this week! Please keep me in mind this summer to watch & take care of your fur babies!
Please also remember I will have another job lined up that will likely affect my availability throughout the day/early evening. Just communicate with me and we will be able to work out any possible conflicts ahead of time!

Hello everyone!

This summer I will be applying for a couple jobs to get my career rolling. With that being said, my availability for pet sitting will likely be limited. However, do not hesitate to contact me ahead of time to see if I could be available for pet sitting! I love this job and the relationships I’ve created and maintained in the last year or so.
I will also be going on vacation July 12th-15th so I will not be available then.

Hi everyone! Just wanting to touch base with you all about upcoming events in my life in which I will not be available for pet sitting. I leave for vacation the 22nd and I will not be back until the 30th. I also move in for college down at WIU on August 15th. I begin classes the 22nd.

As I adjust to Macomb living and my class schedule I am unsure as to how often I will be able to come back to Galva for sitting. Upon saying this, don’t hesitate to message me if you need a sitter while I’m away at school, I will try my hardest to let you know if it will or won’t work out for me. My sister may be able to step in from time to time, but she has her own busy schedule to keep up with as well.

I also just want to say hello and thank you to anyone who has just liked or followed my page and those that have been sharing my posts! It is greatly appreciated. I have gained some wonderful relationships with clients and friends through the spring and summer from this job. I cannot thank you all enough for the kind words, support, and love I have received. I love being able to meet your animals and help you all out in the process. This job is beyond rewarding and I truly could not be happier.

Hey everyone! I want to let you know a little bit about myself. My name is Tressa Rogers. I’ve grown up in Galva and I have had numerous pets over the years like turtles, fish, frogs, cats, dogs, rabbits, and more. I currently attend Black Hawk College East Campus and plan on transferring to Western Illinois University in the fall. I have experience taking care of my own pets, working in an animal shelter/pound, and pet sitting. Please do not hesitate to send me any questions you may have! Thank you!
