Desperately searching for a new home for this sweet, lovable boy - Xander.

I know this isn't our usual kitties, but this guy really needs a new home. He is not getting the love and attention he needs or deserves.

Family is willing to pay for the first $100 of vet bills / supplies upon proof of purchase (receipt). He has no rehoming fee, just need to do an application through us.

Xander is a 5 year old, black lab/pitbull mix. He is neutered and has had all of his shots. He is sweet, protective, and an amazing companion. He plays fetch and loves to go on walks! However, Xander needs to be an only dog. He has had a few altercations with other animals.

Hello, East Texas!!
Long time, no see. I know.

Forgive me, becoming a mother has become quite the task! I appreciate everyone so much for not giving us a hard time for stepping back. However, as 2024 approaches, we have been carefully considering the reopening of CCR.

We have a few hurtles to jump, but I'm hoping you guys can help! 🙂

Last year, the cats resided in my personal home. We had a building we were working on potentially using (and it's still a possibility), but primarily I had up to 30 cats housed in my tiny 1 bed, 1 bath home.

That is not going to work this time around. Not with a baby, unfortunately.

We have a lot of acreage we could build an outdoor enclosure -- but then there is the issue of money for lumber, etc., as with me not working, we cannot afford to put too much in *financially* at this time.

So here's my question for ya' :

Would you guys like to see CCR reopen in 2024?

And if so, what are thoughts about fundraising/ideas for a place the cats can reside? Whether it be building an enclosure on our property, or finding somewhere else to reside them.

We will also need some donations! Food and kennels to start; monetary if you so wish. We also have an Amazon Wishlist pinned to our page for anyone that would prefer that route. Honestly, just sharing this post could make the difference!

The start of 2024 was a little earlier than I planned on making this work, but with YOUR help, I think we can do it! I cannot wait to begin helping the cats of East Texas again, and hopefully this time, for good ❤️🐾

This is a great post and a great message. So many kittens are adopted this time of year on impulse just to be dumped months later. Pets are a COMMITMENT!!

This is why CCR has turned down several applications this month. We just want to know our animals will be loved and cared for and that the receiver of the kitty KNOWS what they’re in for. I do thank those people for their honesty, however. Especially the ones who have worked with us to change their situation in order to adopt. This means making the actual “gift” recipient aware of the kitten and having THEM sign the contract. Some people even keep the “surprise” aspect by letting the recipient unwrap a card with a picture of a kitty at CCR and a note that says “[name] is waiting for you!” That way, people can be made aware of the commitment they are making and have the chance and opportunity to say NO!

Happy adoption day for Simon, Toulouse, and Twig!! I am so so happy for them ❤️

Tigger, Coone, and Chip are the ONLY sweethearts left at CCR. We started with 30 cats constantly being in the building, to now 3. It’s quiet here, and it’s only going to decrease more as CCR is - unfortunately - coming to a temporary close.

Please help us find Tigger, Coone, and Chip a home! We are so so happy for the Twins and Twig today — especially since the Twins got to stay together!!! But Coone (a Maine Coone mix) Tigger, and Chip (both brown DSHs) are just as deserving of loving homes.

Looking for a 15 day foster.

I can’t believe Simon and Toulouse are still here! These cuties have wonderful purrsonalities and deserve loving homes.

We are close to having our exterior rescue built. For those of you who don’t know, all these rescue
kittens and cats have been living in my very tiny home. Yes, upwards to 20 cats in one small house not much bigger than an apartment.
�This has been very stressful, and the uncleanliness of my home (being overtaken by kitty imposters 😼) is beginning to get to me. Thats why the upcoming of our exterior rescue and rescue building is such a blessing and relief to me!

I have sacrificed so much for these kitties, and I plan on doing more when space provides — but to get to that point, I need your help.
�Would anyone be able to foster these two babies for 2 weeks while I wait on their spay/neuter appointments?

They are completely healthy and loving with everyone!

I recently had the wonderful experience of “meeting” (if chatting over Facebook counts) Vanessa, AKA the head of That Crazy Dog lady.

Vanessa is an incredible rescuer herself who has dedicated most of her time and funds into rescuing pups — including the adorable faces depicted below.

No one has asked her to do this. She is uncredited and simply human, and she cannot do this alone.

Vanessa intends on fully vetting these puppies before adopting them out. An expensive — SAFE — method you typically don’t see around here anymore.

However, she is struggling to find the funds to spay/neuter these babies. APL charges $75 a pup (plus rabies) and she has THREE!!

To recoup for costs, she is asking for an adoption fee of $100 per pup.

This kind of money doesn’t even include the vaccines, worming, and other medical treatment she has provided these babies.

So, this is what CCR is going to do.

We want to raise money for Vanessa and her page, That Crazy Dog Lady.

For the next 48 hours, every donation made to CCR will be gifted to her and her rescue to help these pups and others like them.

CCR is also going to donate $25 to Vanessa whenever one of the pups below gets adopted. We will do this by covering 1/4
of the adoption fee, meaning adoption only costs $75!!!

Please help us help them by donating today! We need - at least - $300 to get these puppies ready to go.

At the end of the 48 hour donation period, CCR will meet Vanessa in person and gift her donation and thank her for giving us all hope.

We are stepping back . .

I want to tell you somethings about myself.

My name is Jayden Gregory. I am 20 years old. I have stationed this rescue in Lindale TX, and I have plans to expand it when the time is right, and funds are available.

Outside this rescue, I am a babysitter. I have kids who loves me and smile when I walk through the door. I ”work” 60 hours a week, and I love them. They love me. (I say “work” because it doesn’t feel like work when you love doing it so much).

Outside this rescue, I am a sister. I have family begging for my time and attention because they feel they never see me.

Outside of this rescue, I am a PERSON. A human being. And I deserve to be treated as such! I am a person who is loved, and cherished by many. And also loathed, and disliked by others. I am loved ferociously by Colby and his family, and I love them too.

I want to be present. 

I personally believe (knowing myself as a HUMAN BEING) that I can juggle it all. The rescue, my job, and my personal life. And I have been doing great. I have a whole system that has allowed me to do so.

But apparently, you think I can’t.

When you message my facebook, you get an automated message telling you what to do next so that I can best help you (on MY time). Same happens when you call me. Or message my business profile. ETC.

According to you, however, if I do not answer you right then and there, I deserve to be disrespected.

If I do answer you, I still receive your disrespect. Maybe because I could not do everything to your liking. Or perhaps because I had to say “no”.

I get (on average) 50+ messages and calls PER DAY. The unfortunate part of rescue is that I have to say ”no” much more than I’d like to.

Today, I have to say it in excess.

I am completely out of money. We have spayed, neutered, vaccinated, rehomed, saved, and cared for 100s of cats (and dogs!), and now our funds are completely drained.

I hardly have enough to care for the cats I have NOW. So I am begging you, please stop harassing and bullying me because I have to say “no”. I am a human being! A human being who is doing a great, unpaid service, and you hate me for it.

I simply cannot afford more cats right now.

To my dear followers and supporters, if you can find it in your hearts to share this message, please do.

Rescuers are PEOPLE. Good people. And they deserve so much more respect than they receive.

Please consider donating food, litter, or funds to Countryside Cat Rescue. Because we are in dire need of help.

These two sweet hearts (mom and son) are urgently needing to find a new home before December. Their caretaker has done SO much to help, not only these cats, but every cat on her street. She has done incredible deeds, and has not been returned one favor. Now, her lease is running out as she moves in December, and no one seems to want these two rescues. Please open your heart!

I am so happy to say that Jaxon (first picture) has been adopted by his wonderful, loving fosters, and he is happier than ever!

And I have decided to adopt Oliver myself. I have completely fallen for him! 🤪🥰

It has been a busy, busy month for CCR!

We have saved 10+ bottle feeders, 5+ litters of kittens, several cats, and have spayed/neutered several groups of kitties.

We are finally ready to introduce to you our 2 newest litters of kittens! Tigger and Jax (Piebald ASHs) and Fuzzy Blu, Ellis, Russia, Twig, and Coone (Russian Blue / AMH mixes).

Jax and Fuzzy blue are both long haired boys who love to wrestled and play. They are INSANELY cute and fun, and will make for wonderful additions to any home!

Tigger, Ellis, and Russia are love bugs and always want to snuggle. Tigger is a rare colored tabby - a BROWN/tan tabby piebald with deep blue eyes.

Coone and Twig are more too themselves than the rest, but will surely open up in their new furever homes! Twig is shy, but Coone is confident. They both love to play!!
