How is it even possible that no one has come to meet Francine yet? She is the cutest girl with a calm and sweet demeanor. She was on the euthanasia list and was saved in the hopes of finding a loving home and not just sitting in a cage forever. She deserves a loving home. Come meet her at the Animal Clinic 409 7636484.

Preparations were completed for the start of Staff Appreciation week. Coffee and Waffle bar was set for Monday Morning.
Monday was it usually busy day! But we managed to squeeze in a game of …Are you a good witch or a bad witch ring toss! Even the Doc managed to take a quick break to participate!

We headed out the other night after work for our quarterly staff event. It's good to get out, have fun and de-stress after a busy day. We had a great turnout for bowling and pizza! It always makes me laugh how competitive we can all get! Some challenges were achieved, and prizes were given. Most importantly EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME!

If you haven’t been by the clinic in a while, we have been working on some repairs and a bit of a facelift for this grand old painted lady! Updated a fun play space for our clinic dogs in the courtyard between the buildings. Still have some roof repairs from the storm in July. But she is looking mighty fine!

Sweet 12-year-old Walter is looking for a forever home. His current foster family is moving and will be unable to take him to their new destination.
Most of Walter's life he was neglected and abused by a person with severe PTSD issues. Nine months ago, he was rescued from a trash can. He was found strangled by a chain and thrown away.

Walter is perfectly house trained. He does not bark. He loves children. He spends lots of time at doggie daycare and just loves being around other dogs and playing with bones and running around smelling everything! His experience with cats is unknown.
For no fault of his own, Walter finds himself needing a new home!

The Animal Clinic on Galveston Island

The Animal Clinic was established in 1936 and is the oldest veterinary clinic on Galveston Island. It has been privately owned and operated since then and has received the Texas Heritage award from the TVMA. We set ourselves apart by offering exceptional veterinary care in a more relaxed, home-like setting. We offer a separate cat-only clinic right next door to our main building, where cats can receive the specialized treatment they deserve.

We can see the beach from our building and believe that this allows us to represent Galveston in the most appropriate way, in a historic house right on the beach. We work closely with the Galveston Island Humane Society and pride ourselves in the community service we provide, by helping animals in need. We treat dogs and cats, as well as exotics and small farm animals kept as pets. We emphasize disease prevention, offer on-site surgery and dental work, ultrasound, digital radiography, boarding and grooming.
