I got a message from this girl's parents saying they want her to be the best version of herself... so here we go!
Ahsoka's parents got her to their new home last Sunday and wanted to start training right away.
This healthy young German Shepherd is learning all about impulse control today.
Their goals are to have a dog they can take anywhere and do anything with. Be sure to follow as her she's going to do great things!

Volunteer Spotlight! Meet Kathy and Lynn, two of our newest pet therapy handlers along with their trusty teammates Rodeo and Colden! We recently caught up with their owner Lynn to learn a bit more about the pups and what inspires her to volunteer at Glens Falls Hospital:

"My two Labrador Retrievers, Colden and Rodeo, are 3 years old. My favorite thing about this duo is how beautifully they complement each other. Colden is playful and brings energy into every room, Rodeo is gentle and has a calming presence. Colden is named after an Adirondack High Peak. I became an ADK 46er in 2020, finishing on Mt. Colden, and adopted Colden a few months later! Rodeo was on track to become a guide dog, and I raised him for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. He was unfortunately released from the program due to a medical condition but now makes his mark on the world via therapy work!

I was drawn to volunteer at Glens Falls Hospital to honor my great aunt. She battled cancer for several years. She was an enormous dog lover and cherished her time with therapy dogs while receiving treatment. The boys and I hope to spread comfort and peace at Glens Falls Hospital as a way to honor my aunt and give back to the community.

I love seeing faces light up as Colden & Rodeo walk into a room! The whole atmosphere changes. Dogs have a way of connecting people and creating a sense of community. It's amazing to see how a bit of our time can change the course of someone’s entire day. It’s so special to be able to witness this and to share Colden and Rodeo with others!"

Cleaning up and re-organizing the training room today when this vintage piece appeared. I can’t believe I was 17 years old and had the privilege of putting this dogs first two championship points on him. Thank you Ellen Bannin for allowing me handle Ziggy. He was such an awesome dog and the reason I love Rottweilers so much❤️ And yes, it says 1992!

All I can say is wow! I have been working with these wonderful women for over a year, and boy have they accomplished alot! Not only did this team of 6 acquire their AKC CGC and Community CGC, they are finishing up their training year prepping for their Urban canine Good Citizen certification. Awesome job !!! We'd also like to thank the staff at Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga for being so gracious in allowing us to train in their store as well as having cookies for all the dogs!

Love working this farm dog!! Today’s focus: DOWN for safety 1) Moving down on command 2) Down with a hand signal while out in front 3) Down stay with vehicle movement at a distance 4) Go to place and down with vehicles in motion This amazing pups owners reached out to me before they even got her. They own a large company in Saratoga, have a very busy family life and travel. Gracie needed to be trained to do it all. Welcome to Dog Logic, a premier dog center. Whether you’re looking for a quality dog daycare program, family-friendly dog obedience classes, or assistance with specific behavioral issues, our professionally trained staff can help. We are a customer focused business offering a positive, motivational environment in which to learn and grow.

Dog Logic is home to the “Balance Point,” a holistic approach to dog care, training and client education. It is our belief that educating dog owners to better understand their dog’s behavior and more effectively communicate with them has a direct and positive impact on the quality of the relationship between owner and dog. The Balance Point method also provides simple, sound and effective training techniques that, when followed, are very successful.

Our Founder, Elizabeth Carbone has been involved with training dogs for over 20 years. Her background includes training in obedience, agility, search and rescue, K9 problem solving, and nutrition and health. Elizabeth specializes in the evaluation, rehabilitation, and training of reactive and aggressive dogs.

Her expertise is sought out by not only dog owners, trainers, and veterinarians, but also animal rescues, state agencies, and those involved with lititgation involving bite cases.
