So I see some new puppies in the area and I was talking to the one mom who didn’t realize the retractable leash she had was pretty cheaply made. They are known to break especially, as a dog starts pulling harder and gets a little bigger. Should that leash let go there’s a good chance that your dog is going to get away from you
If you insist on doing a retractable leash, which I never recommend because they can hurt your hand in a different way than any other leash if something goes wrong during a walk , please spend the extra money and get a really good one an expensive one Lexi is a good brand more rugged than most of them, but again I still don’t recommend them. You’re giving the dog too much freedom. In most cases the dog is way out in front of you so then the dog is in control not you.

Just some info. obviously do as you like,but I will say against my better judgment I used one of these leashes and I did get hurt. Be careful
