Ive had customers come to our store after purchasing a baby gator from a different place, seeking supplies and information because the store told them NOTHING. Its crap stores willing to sell anything to anyone with a dollar in their hand, that give us true responsible hobbiests a bad reputation. You can be a successful business, and still be ethical. And im not saying there arent people who keep gators and do it VERY WELL. If your native to garden city you probably grew up saying “lets go stop in at Larry’s!” Many may not know this, but we have not been “Larry’s” in over 18 years.
In 2005 Bill purchased House of Pets from the original owners and we became House of Pets Inc. Even though ownership changed, management has been the same for over 25 years. In this short period of time, compared to the original store opening in 1974, we have come so far. Relocating in 2018 to the old CC’s pizza location, we were determined to stay in Garden City and continue the legacy.
Our story is ever changing but one thing has remained the same, and that is the love we all share for animals, and the amazing support of our community. ♥️
