Meet Moe – Your New Best Friend! Moe is a 3-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a big heart, looking for his forever home. He’s matured into a calm and affectionate companion, enjoying his days bonding with his humans. Moe is happiest when he can relax at your feet or join you on peaceful walks, soaking in the world at his own pace.

Moe needs experienced owners who understand his quirks and can provide him with the right guidance. The best part? Moe comes with a dedicated trainer on standby to help make sure he settles in comfortably! He does well with calm dogs and would love a gentle canine companion. He’s also great with indoor cats and does just fine around free-ranging chickens. Moe adores people, though he can be sensitive to pressure and needs his space at times, so we’re unsure about how he’d do with children. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back friend, Moe could be the perfect addition to your family!

Adoption Details:
• 3 years old
• Experienced owners preferred
• Calm dog companion
• Good with cats and chickens
• Best in a low-pressure, peaceful environment
• Trainer support included

Give Moe the loving home he deserves! Reach out to us to meet this wonderful pup!

Moe is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Moe is currently being fostered near Syracuse NY. If you have any questions about Moe email [email protected]

Butler
Naples, NY

Meet Butler aka Butters!! He is a 44 pound, 1.5 year old male ACD mix. He came into foster care shut down and very fearful of humans. With patience, potty training, exposure and a lot of love,Butler has made wonderful progress and is really feeling a part of his foster family. Butler loves other dogs and plays very well with them without getting too rough. In fact, he looks to other dogs to learn what is safe in regards to humans. He also is coexisting peacefully with all the cats in the home.

Butler is working on his leash skills and will need more training. He pulls at first but then settles down and is more at home walking in the woods than on village streets. He does come back to you on leash every few minutes, to touch your hand and look up at you as if saying, How am I doing? He is lean and athletic and looks so handsome when he prances around! Butler can be avoidant of strangers he meets while walking and will pull away. However, if they have a dog he will go right up to them. He has been working on being exposed to a variety of new situations. He rides in the car well as long as his foster sister jumps in first!

Butler has grown to be a super affectionate boy. He loves to cuddle on the couch and ask for belly rubs. At night, he would sleep in your arms if you let him. He is very affectionate with his foster siblings also, licking them and asking to play by bouncing up and down, He has medium energy and his off button is located on the top of his forehead haha. 3 rubs on that spot and he is in a trance of pleasure! Butler is food motivated and has learned his name, the commands sit, stay, come and sit pretty.

Butler is crate trained and although he doesn't prefer it, he will go into his crate quietly with a good stuffed bone to occupy him. Butler is a wonderful dog but the caveat for adopters is that it will take him
an extended period of time to integrate into his new home. An ideal home will be one that is committed to helping him continue his healing journey from the abuse he has suffered. It will take some time
for him to adjust to his new family to become the dog we know he is in foster. Another friendly dog in the home that he can bond with and look to would be ideal and probably necessary.
He thrives on routine and can learn the rules of the household through his companion dog. He will need to live in a rural or suburban environment with no young children in the home.

Butler is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He is being fostered in Naples NY. If you would like to learn and discuss more about Butler, please email [email protected]

**COURTESY POST**

Location: New Kensington, PA

Lobo, neutered male, 4yrs old, 42lbs

Lobo is a 4 year old male neutered blue heeler located in New Kensington, PA. He is about 42 lbs, healthy, energetic, and affectionate boy. He was very easy to train, eager to learn, and food motivated. He knows many commands, housebroken, Crate trained and very chill at home. He walks well on the leash but can bark at another dog if they are very reactive, he listens well and will continue walking if you tell him. He has been very healthy all this time. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and regularly on simparica trio.

His new owners must be experienced with the breed or other herding breeds. He would love a large yard to run and chase birds away in. He also loves to fetch the ball and places in right in from front of you, he could run all day. He would possibly do well with another small dog, but feeding will have to be separate. Same with cats, although at home he is best buds with one cat that he snuggles and licks all the time. He should not be in a home with young children. He loves being greeted by strangers. He loves to go to lowes with me because he gets belly rubs and treats. He is a beautiful dog and gets compliments all the time.

I have to make the difficult decision to rehome because I need to put my daughters safety first and I'm afraid if I'm not careful he could bite her. I want to make sure he does go to a good home so potential adopters will have to provide a reference from their established veterinarian. A rehoming fee of 300$ to ensure he goes to a good home.

Funny quirks - the sound of the vacuum cleaner makes him spin in circles. He likes to chase lasers and he does not enjoy nail trims but I manage to trim them myself.

Lobo is not an ACDRA Foster Dog. If you are interested in Lobo or have questions, please email [email protected]

Let's boost one more puppy today! Booster post #4 goes to Badger the Bold! One for the real-deal Heeler lovers, Badger follows the breed blueprint to a T. This little tuffy has working or sport dog potential! Full profile and extremely adorable pics at the link in the comments!

Available
Badger
Raleigh, NC

Badger is seeking a new home that is ready and prepared to raise an Australian Cattle Dog puppy and help him grow up to become the best, well behaved boy he can be.

Don't let his absolutely adorable looks fool you - He's got attitude and grit and a mouth to help prove it! While he is a sweet puppy, he has a lot of potential to be just what he is, a true working dog. Badger can be bold and full of s***k - An experienced and active ACD home will be highly preferred over all others, as he is no couch potato and could easily get bored.

In foster care, he lives and socializes with 3 other male ACDs and cats. My youngest ACD who is 3 y/o and intact, is his favorite to play with - But you can already see Badger likes to turn the notch and rough house. He is working on his house training, kennel training and foundational skills but as a young puppy, the success of this boy will lie with you in his new home with continued boundaries and training.

He kennels pretty well overnight, getting closer to 6 hours sleep without a break needed, but during the day he is itching for my lunch break to come and let him out. When he is let out, he goes instantly. When he is over-stimulated and needs a break, he can understand that message and settles down when taken to his kennel if he is blocked off from seeing others. He has traveled to dog events with me, and has kennelled in the car for long periods of time without making a peep (with socializing with people breaks) and takes everything new in stride. He has met children and done really well, but based on his current tendencies, older children may be best in a home with him.

I believe Badger would excel in a sport-minded home or a very active home. He enjoys being outdoors and I only expect that love to grow as he gets older and is able to do more activity outside when his joints fully develop. He loves to play tuggie and already is chasing rollers (frisbees) with a clear attempt to grab. He picks them up and already heads back my way. He is toy and food motivated. If you need a true herder, sign him up. He's already showed those instincts.

He is microchipped and up to date on monthly preventatives. He has age-appropriate vaccinations, and is being adopted out on spay/neuter contracts to allow his puppy body and mind more time to develop.

Local adopters preferred, but not limited to NC state. He is an adorable, handsome 9-10week old ACD puppy who has ears to die for.

If you are interested in adopting Badger, fill out an application at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application.

The person who does the booster posts is stuck home due to freezing rain today. So you know what that means? Yep, you're all getting BOOSTER BOMBED. Booster post #3 today is another overlooked puppy. Her sisters are adopted, and somehow practically perfect Ghost is still waiting. Her foster home is completely stumped that a puppy with an outstanding temperament and the cutest speckled ears EVER, hasn't been adopted yet. Ghost and I are stumped, too. Let's fix that, shall we? Link to Ghost's full profile and more pics in the comments!

Ghost
Virginville, PA

What do you see when you look at Ghost? Is the soft face that draws you in? Is it the perfect ears? I say it’s the all around adorable perfection. We are assuming she is a Heeler mix even though some of her siblings look all Heeler.

Ghost is a tiny little active, happy puppy. Date of birth 9/8/24.

Ghost is as smart as a CattleDog and is eager to learn. She plays nicely with the resident dog and doesn’t have over the top crazy energy….even for a puppy. Ghost wants a family of her own that she can be active with or simply just snuggle up with.

Ghost had a skin infection that is cleared up and her patchy hair is growing back nicely.

Ghost has age appropriate vaccines and will be adopted with a spay contract. She is being fostered in Virginville PA. applications can be found at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application.

**BONNIE is ON HOLD**
Bonnie & Nathaniel
Albany, NY

Bonnie & Nathaniel are approximately 8 weeks old. They are current on all preventives and age appropriate vaccines. They are available for adoption individually - they will not be placed together.

These pups are bold, confident, sweet, playful and energetic.

They appear to be a mix of breeds, certainly with cattle dog influence. They are quite little right now but expected to be medium sized when fully grown.

The pups have met a variety of people, they have been exposed to cats, and have interacted with a variety of adult dogs. They are great at road trips, riding quietly and safely in their crates. They are happy and curious on field trips in stores (they enjoyed riding in the shopping cart due to their current age & small size.)

They enjoy attention, running and racing, play and tugging with toys, as well as wrestling with one another.

Bonnie and Nathaniel are very smart and are crate trained and working on house training.

Cute as they are, these babies are still typical puppies. Did we mention they love to run and play, chew on things and generally wreak puppy havoc?

Puppies need constant supervision and direction, and when they cannot be provided they need a safe confinement space (such as a crate or puppy play pen) to keep them out of trouble while they learn to be the best furry companions they can be.

These pups are ready to learn new things and are looking for families committed to raising them in the best way possible.

If you are looking for a new lifelong best friend, please submit an application at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application.

Need a hero? We're sending up the Bat Signal to remind everyone in Heeler City that Batman is still looking for a family! Young, handsome, and smart - he's ready for action!

Batman
Warwick, RI

Hello, the humans call me Batman. Not sure why, but it’s okay, as long as I have my human(s), a fun dog buddy/roommate and food, glorious food! I’m a happy guy. Allow me to tell you a little about myself….
I am very, very smart. I already know some basic commands and would be happy to learn more if you teach me.
I am a very happy guy and just love to be around my people-pack! That includes going for rides (I love rides). The only problem is I may not want to get out when we get home.
I adore playing fetch! If you have tennis balls, especially the squeaky kind, I can play fetch all day long! I also love any kind of squeaky toy to play with.
I am also very treat/food motivated. I can’t get enough of those Denti-Stix. My foster Mom will tell you that I have a habit of eating my food so fast and I need to have one of those slow-eating bowls but that’s okay, I’m the kind of pup that will make a game out of it. I also like to check out the other pup’s bowls and eat what they didn’t…really, really fast.
I am also completely house broken and crate trained and will eat and sleep in my crate at night.
My foster mom says that I walk well on a leash with a collar or a harness, but I prefer the harness.

As for my future siblings/resident pups, well, I get along with all 3 of the heelers that I have been staying with although, I do get possessive of my toys at times. I do best with a slow introduction too.
My perfect fur-ever home would be with an active adult(s). I am not the kind of pup to be crated for long periods of time and I prefer to be around my humans and getting lots of love. I need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. My foster mom thinks I would do fantastic with agility training.
If you are interested in a meet and greet, please email my foster mom. She is handling all of this stuff because, well, she will not allow me to use her laptop.

Batman is 18 months old, neutered, and up to date on all preventatives and vetting.

Please contact foster mom at [email protected] with any questions about Batman.

Jessup, MD

Meet Hattie Mae, this happy and curious fun sized ACD mix loves hanging with her foster family and
playing with her toys.

Hattie Mae is potty trained and crate trained, but she prefers to sleep with her people. She does have some separation anxiety to work through, so she may not be a good fit if you are in an apartment as she can cry for a bit when you leave her.

Hattie Mae loves toys, especially if they squeak, she loves her belly rubs and playing fetch. She is a
great jumper, loves car rides and would be perfect for an active lifestyle. She tends to pull when on a leash, so more leash training is necessary.

Hattie Mae just turned 2 and is 30 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all her
vaccinations and preventatives. She is being fostered in Jessup, MD and is looking for her forever family.

Queso
Mount Wolf, PA

Looking for a dog that loves to snuggle, explore, and enjoy tasty snacks? Meet Queso! This adorable 8-month-old, 25-pound bundle of joy is ready to find his forever home. After being found as a stray in Kentucky, he made his way to Pennsylvania, hoping to meet his new family.

Queso is full of the classic curiosity of a cattle dog and is friendly with everyone he meets. With a balanced energy level, he knows how to enjoy playtime and cozy naps alike, often curling up for a snooze while the fun continues around him. He is often asking to curl up on foster mom’s lap. He’s all about those yummy treats, and his love for food is undeniable!

Queso gets along wonderfully with his older canine housemate and enjoys playing with pups his own age. He’s also shown great playing with children. He’d do best in a home with children who are a bit older, as he does tend to nip when excited and jump up in greeting.

Fully house trained, Queso may experience a bit of regression in a new environment, but he’s
quick to get back on track. He settles into his crate for brief periods, but we use a play yard more frequently for his comfort. He was sleeping in the play yard through the night without fuss and
recently enjoyed sleeping in bed with his foster family, making it through the night.

Leash training is still a work in progress as Queso is full of excitement when meeting new people or dogs. True to puppy nature, he sometimes finds shoes irresistible when bored, but with
redirection, he’s quick to settle on bones and appropriate chew toys. He thrives on positive reinforcement and is a champ at learning new things!

Queso is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on preventative care. Currently being fostered
in Mount Wolf, PA, he’s eagerly waiting to find his forever family. If you’re ready for endless
love and tail wags, reach out to his foster mom at [email protected]. Get ready for a lifetime of puppy kisses and joy with Queso! Apply to adopt Queso at acdra.org/adoption-application

Meet Flounder! This super sweet boy is about 1-2 years old, 30 lbs and is a complete love bug once he gets to know you. Flounder is your typical cattle dog and is aloof when meeting new people. He likes to observe people first and when he feels comfortable he will engage with them. A cookie does help with that as he is food motivated. Once Flounder gets to know someone then he is your shadow and wants to be with you 24/7. He is a master cuddler and enjoys hanging out on the couch and watching some movies. He would be the perfect companion for someone who is looking for a weekend warrior. He is a medium energy boy who loves to run around in the yard and get his energy out. Flounder is still learning to walk on the leash. He is head shy so he does better when he is on a harness. Flounder is potty trained and crate trained.

Flounder LOVES other dogs. His personality blossoms when he has a confident dog to guide him. Flounder enjoys playing with both male and female dogs of all sizes. He looks to other dogs for cues with new people and does warm up quicker if another dog is there. Flounder enjoys going out to breweries and hiking but he working on car rides. He does get car sick but his foster family is working on that with him. He is a very smart boy and enjoys learning. We would love for his new family to take him to some training classes to build his confident and work on a loving bond with his new family.

Flounders new family must have a physically fenced in yard, another confident playful dog and a family that is patience and willing to work with Flounder. Flounder currently lives with cats and does fine with them. His new family needs to be willing to take him to training classes and children in the home must be 14 years or older.

Meet Fiona – A Sweet, Playful & Loving Companion!

Fiona is a delightful 2-year-old Cattle Dog mix who is looking for a loving forever home. At 33 lbs., Fiona is the perfect size for someone who’s looking for a medium-sized dog full of s***k, energy, and affection. She's a champion cuddler and loves spending time with her humans, making her an ideal companion for someone seeking both playfulness
and comfort.

She can be a little timid around new experiences, but once she’s comfortable, her playful and sweet personality shines through. While she’s not the best fit for a home
with small children due to her tendency to jump and nip, she should be fine with older
children and some positive reinforcement training.

Though Fiona hasn't had much training before joining rescue, she is a quick learner. She’s already mastered basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “stay,” and her recall is
fabulous! Fiona is very agile—she can leap up to 4 feet when she’s excited! She even took to swimming like a pro when introduced to a local lake during her temporary foster stay in Georgia. Her enthusiasm and energy make her a joy to be around, though she’ll need a patient adopter who is willing to help her adjust to new surroundings and experiences.

Fiona would thrive in a quieter area with a physical fence (no underground fencing,
please). However, with time, patience, and training, she could also adapt to a home without a fence as long as her adopter is committed to bonding with her and providing a long-line training routine. Fiona is crate-trained but currently uses baby gates to stay safely contained when her foster mom is away.

Fiona will need to be an only dog, as she does not react well to other dogs in the household getting attention. This would probably extend to cats also. But who needs
another dog when you have this fun loving companion? Fiona settles easily after some play and when it’s time for bed.

Fiona's Ideal Home:

 An adopter who is patient and willing to give her time to acclimate to new environments
 A quieter, suburban or rural area would be ideal
 A home without another dog or cat
 No young children due to her jumping/nipping tendencies
 A fenced yard (preferably physical fencing) or an adopter willing to work on training without one

Fiona is housebroken, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and will be available for adoption after completing her heartworm
treatment on December 10th. A retest will be required in six months.

If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who will bond closely with you and bring joy into your life, Fiona might just be your perfect match!

Location: South Williamsport, PA (north central PA)
For more information or to inquire about adopting Fiona, please contact her foster home

Zoe
Palm Bay, FL

Hi there! I’m Zoe!
I’m 1-2-years-old and 34lbs. I’m a super fun, energetic, and affectionate cattle dog mix, and I’m SO ready to find my forever home! If you love to run, play, and cuddle (yes, I’m a BIG fan of cuddles), then I’m the perfect pup for you. I’ll be your shadow – because let’s be honest, I’m just that kind of dog. I’m super attached to my humans, and once we’re together, you’ll have a loyal companion for life!

I’m looking for an active person or family who can keep up with my playful spirit! I really enjoy long walks, going on adventures, and playing in the yard. I’ve got plenty of energy to keep up with your lifestyle, and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way. Other dogs? Not a big problem…I get along fine with playful pups who aren’t too dominant or sassy because I like to be the bossy one!

I’m crate trained and housebroken, so I’m pretty well-mannered. If you leave me alone, I’ll happily head to my crate for some chill time – but heads up, if I’m not crated, I might get into a little mischief. You know, sniffing counters, digging through stuff, just a little bit of trouble (I’m a curious girl). But hey, I’m super food motivated, so teaching me new tricks and commands will be a breeze! I love treats, and I’m ready to impress you with how quickly I catch on.

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate dog who will stick by your side and be your best buddy for all of life’s adventures, I might just be the one for you! Let’s make some memories together!
P.S. I promise, I’ll never get tired of giving you all my love and affection.

Foster parents here! Zoe is an absolute sweetheart and a ball of energy who thrives on daily exercise!

Zoe has a playful and confident personality, has done well with a routine, and is quick to learn house rules, however, she does prefer to be top dog. If there are other dogs in the home, they should be non-dominant and ready to handle some rough, cattle dog-style play.

We believe Zoe would do well with dog-savvy kids who are 8+ years old since she, herself, is young and can be jumpy sometimes. (We’ve checked her back feet for springs, but can’t seem to find and disable them!) We have not tested her with cats.

Zoe is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccines/heartworm prevention, microchipped, and a sweet, loyal, and loving girl. If you’re looking for an affectionate adventure partner, Zoe might be the perfect fit!

Apply to meet Zoe today! https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application
