Ellie, spayed female, 2 yrs old, 37lbs

Ellie is two years old, born Jan 20th 2023. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her shots until April 1st 2025. Her rabies is good until March 16th 2027. She is black and white. She weighs 37 pounds. She is EXTREMELY high energy. She gets along with people of all ages (children and grandparents too). She does not get along with other dogs unfortunately. I am unsure about other pets. I will be able to provide all of her up to date medical documents, dog bed, food and water dish, and plenty of tennis balls. She loves chasing after the ball! I am also willing to help with the transportation to her new home (a reasonable distance from Murfreesboro, TN).

Ellie is a sweet and loving girl. She loves to play with her ball more than anything else. She is more ball motivated than food motivated, but she still loves her treats too.

She would thrive in a house with plenty of space to run, or with an active owner(s). She needs a job. She would play fetch all day long if you let her!

She is aggressive with other dogs. She should go to a house without other pets, or to an experienced dog owner that knows how to handle that behavior.

We love Ellie. Whomever gets to welcome Ellie into their house will love her too!

Are you looking for a dog that is down to have fun or just snuggle on the couch with you? If so then Flounder is your man! Flounder came into the rescue in August as a scared but super sweet young man. He is a small guy at about 30 pounds, 1-2 years old and is neutered. Flounder is up to date on his vaccines and is on monthly flea and tick and heartworm preventatives. He has made great progress since coming into the rescue and will slowly go up to people and politely ask for pets. He sits nicely and watches the world when he is out and about with his foster family.

Flounder is potty-trained and crate trained and runs into his crate when he knows its times to eat. He makes no fuss about going in his crate as that is his safe space. Flounder is a medium energy dog and enjoys running in the backyard with his foster siblings. He LOVES other dogs and will need at least 1 other confident dog in his new home. He is working hard on his leash walking manners and he making good progress. He had no idea what a leash was when he got here but does best with a harness. Flounder would really benefit from some doggy obedience classes to boost his confidence. He is a lovely, sweet dog who needs a patient new family to continue his progress he has made in his foster home. Flounder is also working on riding in the car. Flounder does get car sick when going on long cars but does best in a crate covered and some calming music playing. Flounder already knows sit and his recall is getting better and better every day. He is a very smart boy and loves learning. He could make a fun tricks dog or if his new family wants to try other sports Flounder would enjoy that.

Flounder has a few must haves for his new family. First, a confident playmate. Flounder loves other dogs and lights up when he sees other dogs. He looks to his foster siblings for confidence when meeting new people. Second, a physically fenced in yard. Flounder enjoys playing fetch and soccer in the yard and running full speed across the yard. He is one fast boy! Third, a comfy bed to sleep in. Flounder loves to sleep in bed with his foster family. He enjoys cuddling with his people and wants to be as close as possible. Fourth, a fun-loving family that will take him on adventures and teach him new things. Flounder’s new family need to be ready to continue his progress to build a confident young dog. He needs a home with children 14 years or older. He even does well with the cats in his foster home.

Flounder is a fun-loving, snuggly boy who is ready for his new home. He is the perfect age, loves training but the hard work of potty-training and crate training are already done. This boy has been waiting a long time for his new family and we are hoping it is finally his time to find it!

Meet Lacey. This sweet, senior girl is looking for her forever home where she can enjoy the comforts and joys of life. Lacey’s personality is mellow and playful. She would thrive in a calm environment without other pets. Lacey prefers to be with her people versus being alone all day. If you are seeking a devoted companion who will join you on walks, and car rides and be by your side while at home Lacey is the dog for you.

Lacey is a senior dog but shows no signs of slowing down. She loves being outside, is a joy to take on walks in the woods, and finds car rides relaxing.

Although Lacey is hard of hearing she is smart and responds to visual cues. Being on a leash is important or a fenced yard may be the best way for her to safely enjoy being outside.

She is a very smart girl, so training games is a wonderful way to play and interact with her. Lacey is house-trained and will signal when she needs to go out.

Lacey is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and has received preventatives for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.

Hazel, 1 yr old, spayed female, 32 lbs

Hi, I’m Hazel. That’s Hazelton Taterton to you! Mom says I appear to be a full blooded cattle dog. I am very quiet and sweet until I get to know you then my spicy cattle dog side comes out! I love to play bitey with hands but I am gentle with my humans. I love walks and I have learned not to pull for the most part. Still working on ignoring those pesky squirrels! I love to play fetch inside, but I get distracted outside sometimes. I also love to play chase in the yard but I do get a little crazy when I get wound up. I also must admit that I do not particularly care for other dogs. I would do best as the ONLY light of your life! I am very good at reading a room and when everyone else is quiet I can be too. I LOVE chewing on bones and I did miss one day and chewed my mom’s throw rug. She wasn’t too happy but I was easily redirected to my kong! When I get excited sometimes I forget and bite shirtsleeves but I stop when told no. Since I am so short I love to jump up to see you! It’s very hard to stay sitting when I see my friends or new people but I am trying hard to learn this! I do not know any cats but they would probably be fun to chase! I do like to get 9-10 hours of beauty rest in my crate each night. Please talk to my mom now, I need to go eat my dinner!

Mom here—Hazel was dumped at a home in East Bend NC. She was living outside in the cold and she was in heat when we picked her up—we don’t know much more than that. Attempts were made to find her people with no luck. We rescued her from that situation 12/2024. She has since had all of her shots, been dewormed, spayed and microchipped. She has her own pet insurance policy which could probably be transferred to you. She knows sit, touch, come, lay down, wait and is crate trained and house broken. We are working on place, off, stay and fetch. She loves riding in the car as well. She sheds almost no hair and her coat is very soft.

We would love to keep her but she is not a good fit for our household as she is afraid of our senior GSD/Husky and only seems interested in her as something to herd. She nipped her ankle (no blood drawn) and we have had to keep them apart. This is stressful for our current dog as she is used to having full run of the household and we are concerned for her mental health as she is very anxious when she sees Hazel. As Hazel told you earlier she should be the ONLY dog in the household. For the same reason I would be VERY careful with her around children under 12. After consulting a behavioral trainer rehoming seems to be the best option as the herding instinct is not something that can be trained away.

This saucy girl really needs some livestock to take care of! She is a typical heeler and needs a job. She would most likely excel at agility training. She is lightning fast.

She is very sweet with every person she meets and is quite the little snuggle bug in the evenings. If I sit down she pops up into my lap. She’s a keeper and if it were not for our other dog we would not hesitate to hold on to her forever!

Jericho, neutered male, 99lbs, 8yrs old

Hi, I’m Jericho. I’m an 8 year old Cattle Dog who is extremely loyal and loves getting belly rubs. I like to smile and give puppy eyes if I do something naughty. My dad (owner/dog dad) has recently passed away, so I’ve been staying with his daughter and her family. They have a toddler who I love to try to herd. I would do better with older kids, experienced families and children, or no children at all. My dad and I were best friends and we did everything together! We’d go camping, spend time by the pool, and my favorite, just hangout and watch TV. Other humans tell me I’m overweight (99 pounds), but I think I’m perfect. I have had one previous hip surgery for a benign cyst, but I’m overall pretty healthy. My ideal situation would be to bond and have a companion for the rest of my years. I’m okay with cats, but I get interested in them and like to get close or herd them. I get along better with female dogs. I would love to have a fenced in yard, but not a requirement if you have the time for my walks and potty breaks. I’m pretty smart and know a handful of commands.

This has been a difficult transition for all of us, but we’re doing the best we can! We are located in sunny Florida. Transportation and adoption fee or donation can be worked out if you are interested in giving your love and home to the bestest boy you could imagine.

Major is approximately 6 months old and 40 lbs. Current on his neuter, vaccines and preventables. He is quite the handsome boy. We believe he is a ACD/Collie mix.

Major is all puppy. He loves to chew, play with other dogs and hang out with his people. He is great with other dogs that are friendly and playful, timid with the jerks.

This young guy was terrified of people and being handled when he came in. Once he knows he is safe he is super friendly, but he has not had a lot of exposure to normal dog life. He would need a kind person to help him navigate life and teach him everything from walking on a leash to fun car rides. Don't worry he is super smart and will pick this up quickly.

Major is fully house trained with a dog door. He pens quietly at night.

Hank, neutered male, 40lbs

HANK is the name we gave this guy. He showed up at our door one morning soaking wet with no collar. We think he is younger around a year old. Tried my page and county lost pets to find his family. No chip and no replies. He is super happy and super energetic! He loves 1000 percent and will follow you everywhere..even the bathroom!

Smart, housebroken, gets along with dogs, cats...likes to chase but if you say Stop he'll quit. My mini horse doesn't like him after he chased and nipped her legs in the pasture...had to resort to a shock collar...sorry..also has new founded love for the neighbors cow p**p! Bathes well! When not around humans his boredom can turn into chewing and destuffing!

We have 5 other dogs and not enough quality time to spend with this talented stray. He does nip at your legs sometimes, so children may perceive it as biting. But he doesn't have a mean bone in his body! Great potential as a work dog or family pet with a huge desire to be loved!

Isabelle, spayed female, 3yrs old, 40lbs

Isabelle is super sweet and great once she gets to know you. After a bit of shyness, she'll want to lick you forever and cuddle with you all day. She has a ton of energy, so playing fetch with her is her favorite thing in the world. Isabelle is potty trained and also shy around other dogs.

It breaks my heart to say bye to Isabelle, but due to financial problems and my living situation, I think the best thing is for her to find a new home. She is very close to her sister Luna and if they could stay together it would make her very happy. (Luna listed in separate post).
