Miss Nala Left us for the other side today❤️

She fell into our lives a few years ago when her previous family had some big life changes. She had already been an LGD for pigs, llamas and goats so we figured, how often do you come across that. So we took a chance and said she could come to us. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. Not only was she a GREAT LGD, who came home many a time with scratches from Coyotes that she fended off. But she was also one of the sweetest, most patient and gentle giant dogs we have ever had. She had a natural love for kids that she showed Jinora and Ronni every day she spent with them. And we always knew our crias were safe from predators when she was on duty.

Back in April, she was outside the property fence doing her LGD Duties of fending off coyotes and the occasional bobcat we saw on neighbors trail cams when she decided she wanted to say hi to a passing car 🤦🏼‍♀️ she took a pretty severe break to her leg but we were lucky thats all it was! We immediately took her into our vet where we decided with her age and size, plates and screws were the best option over amputation. On paper, everything went perfectly! But for whatever reason she just never did use her leg again, she was slowly losing muscle all the way up her leg into her shoulder even with medication, physical therapy and laser treatments. But she still didnt seem to be suffering so we were letting her do her thing while taking any and all medical advice from her care team.

Unfortunately, yesterday she began crying with significant pain even on medications. We knew there was very little left to do and with a giant breed at her age we knew this was a possibility, that she may never really recover. We hoped against hope but in the end we gave her every speck of love and care we could.

Rest Easy Nala, your shift is officially over. Enjoy your retirement up there 💜

Our Handsome boy did so good, he was just SHINING out there. He was all the way on in his Halter class

Now that all pictures are sent out I've now gotten to our own. Not only did we have fun with our first venture with Mythical Rayne Llama Photography, we also had a very successful show with the one llama we brought to the Gathering!

CVL Can't Wait to be King
Champion Yearling Silky Male
4th in the Silky Division Championship

We were hoping for middle of the pack knowing Simba would be competing against some of the top males in the country. So, to say we were excited is an understatement! We along with Simba's other owner Aspen Kelchen couldn't be happier!

We would of course like to thank Lisa Robinson and everyone involved with putting on such a big and successful show as well as Ana Reese for judging. What a line-up of animals in every class! It's not a national show for nothing!

We are needing to make some tough decisions on the farm this spring. One of those decisions has been made and we are offering this super sweet 2 year old female to a new home.

MAL Dream Glow
Coaty's Underdog ARR x GHLC Tommi
DOB: April 2nd, 2022

Gigi is available at a reasonable price and would make a fantastic PR, 4-H or pet female until she's ready to start her breeding career. She is super easy to handle and will allow just about anything to be done to her even without a halter in the middle of the pasture. She can be pretty head shy but with someone she trusts she is very tolerant. If you want a girl that is an easy keeper and comes from a line of females with excellent maternal natures, then this is your girl! Not only is she sweet and will make a fantastic mom one day, she's also a dilute appy! It's hard to tell in the pictures but she has red spots all over her neck and barrel! This is a super hard decision for us to sell her, but we unfortunately need to keep our herd at a manageable number. She is available to the right home.

PM me for more information on this sweet as pie girl!
