Do you have a passion for animal care and a strong medical background? Come be a part of our fun, hardworking, and compassionate team! 🐶🐱💙

🩺 What You'll Do:
✨ Assist in exam rooms, surgeries, treatments, radiology, lab and patient care
✨ Provide exceptional nursing care for our patients
✨ Work hands-on in a supportive, fast-paced environment
✨ Communicate treatment plans and patient updates to pet parents

✅ Must Haves:
– Veterinary Technician Certification or 1+ year experience
– Team-first mindset
– Willingness to work weekends & holidays as needed (rotating)
- Communication skills and compassion for both pets and people
– (Bonus if you know AVImark!)

We’ve got several exciting announcements headed your way, and we’re kicking things off with a very special one: one of your old favorites, Dr. Metcalf 🥰 is coming back to Mercy Animal Hospital in Gardendale!

After moving to a practice closer to home (and her daughters’ school and extracurriculars 🥎) 4 years ago, we’re beyond thrilled to welcome her back to the team! Also, HUGE congrats to her for successfully sending off 2 brilliant girls to college during that time!

Around here, we consider our team to be family — we’ve stayed in touch all this time, hoping and unashamedly praying this day would come.

In just one week, Dr. Metcalf will be back, ready to deliver the same outstanding medical, surgical, and dental care for your pets that we all know and expect from all of your Mercy vets.
