Rules & Regulations: BE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER! The Town of Gardiner Dog Park strives to provide a fun, safe environment for you and your dog(s). By using this dog park you agree that you understand and assume all responsibility and liability related to the risks of dog park usage. The Town
of Gardiner Dog Park is not a supervised facility, therefore users are required to abide by the rules and to use common sense and etiquette at all times while on the premises. Users of the dog park assume all risk of injury to themselves, to others, and to their dogs and will hold the Town of Gardiner harmless in the event of injury to themselves, to others and to dogs. The future of this area depends on persons behaving responsibly and obeying all the rules. Be respectful of the neighbors and employees of Town Hall and discourage excessive barking (even from the human breed). All visitors of the Town of Gardiner Dog Park are expected to behave with common courtesy and respect for the property as well as other dog park users. Park hours are from dawn to dusk. Owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their dog(s). Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the park. Remove and replace leash in the holding pen (first gated area). Discourage your dog(s) from standing at or near the gate as people are entering. Do not enter if another dog is at the gate unattended. No spike, prong or pinch collars. Dogs must be supervised at all times and should be under voice control. Discourage excessive barking and any digging. If your dog digs a hole, fill it in. No aggressive dogs. Do not let your dog posture or mount other dogs. Watch for signs of aggression/arousal and remove your dog immediately if necessary. If your dog gets in a fight, exchange contact information and leave the dog park. You are responsible for any injury caused by your dog. No dogs in heat. Closely monitor un-neutered males. No puppies under 4 months of age. Dogs must be licensed and immunized. Bring children at your own risk. Children must be under the direct supervision of an adult. Do not let children run wild as this action can invoke a dog’s instinctive behavior to chase. No glass containers or smoking. Use caution and judgment when bringing treats into the park. Do not get distracted with cell phones or other similar devices. A waste station is provided. Clean up after your dog. P**p Happens! If you notice 'orphan p**p' please be kind enough to pick it up.
