New puppy Uber! What I like to call PLAY AND TRAIN with Uber using dura foam balls, since he did so well with his shaping game. There are many ways to implement play and train games. Every play and train will be different. It all depends on the dog's needs and what gets them to tick. Yesterday was Uber's 1st day ever on a e-collar and learning the word Aus. There are many ways to train this. He is going to learn all my communicational tools and how I train. I am going to keep his anticipation high. He will be fire soon enough. Training is going well.

New puppy Uber! 2nd time shaping Uber to a marker board. This is one of many ways I create independence in a dog. I will eventually have him shaping to multiple place markers. Uber is glued to my hip because of his high pack drive, which is great, but it is all about balance. There are training techniques that I will use to get him where I want him.

TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!
WHAT MAKES A STRONG DOG! I always tell people to put their dog in situations that make them uncomfortable. You have to train your dog in those conditions to overcome and adapt to life's inevitable challenges. I always say, you want a strong confident dog that is good in any situation you put them in. You are a master coach for your dog.
WHAT MAKES A WEAK DOG! Caddling your dog when they are uncomfortable and not putting them in situations to overcome. That is what sets them up for failure! I see that a lot, especially with the rescue dog parents. Some people are not aware that they are doing it, and can cause more problems. That is my training advice.
I hope this helps some of those rescues that follow me. PS! Use those training tools to communicate properly with your dog. Any training tool used on a dog is NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT TRAINING, which is the removal of the small amount of pressure to get the dog to do something. Keep that in mind! That is not POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT TRAINING! Do not sound politically correct. Be true and real with people. PEOPLE APPRECIATE HONESTY! You can use positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement training together, Which is pretty powerful!

10 week old German Shepherd puppy. The puppy has been crate trained for a few weeks now. I like to condition a puppy to love the crate at a very young age. It helps with potty training, provides a safety secure space, helps with house training, prevents destructive behavior when unsupervised, good for traveling, boarding, establish boundaries, improves behavior and many more!
This puppy is phenomenal and knows a lot for his age. NEVER TO YOUNG TO START TRAINING! FAIR TRAING THAT IS! FIND THAT SWEET SPOT IS KEY! NOT TO HARD! NOT TO EASY!

Another Sneak peak! Another happy customer. Exactly 9 week old puppy today. I always do chunking and reward for approximation. In this video, my termination marker is yes, he does know the clicker as well. We are outside working with distractions. This is the first time he is off a leash while heeling. He is only going to get better and better. I created high hope for this puppy. That is why he likes to work. It is turning into a game for him. PS! This puppy does know tactile commands and a lot more. NEVER TO YOUNG TO START TRAINING! FAIR TRAING THAT IS! FIND THAT SWEET SPOT IS KEY! NOT TO HARD! NOT TO EASY!

New puppy Aria and I come out of the Skinner room. She discovers a klack klack on the ground. Shaping games start for me when clicker is charged. Training begins! This is what positive reinforcement looks like. Remember, as soon as you put a collar on a dog and it is used, it is no longer positive reinforcement. It is considered negative reinforcement. Positive reinforcement is much harder and takes longer to train in. A lot of people say they train in positive renforcement, but they do not. They say it because it sounds politically correct. Trust me, I am all about training tools, if used correctly. Anyway I can better a dog situation, I am all for it. PS! in this video, I want her to sit or down. I ended the game on a good note. Next shaping game, she will fly back in that previous behavior that got her the jack pot. She will down next time! A little frustration will get her to do so.

For those that do not know yet, I welcome another German Shepherd import to our home. Meet Aria! I got myself a 6 month old, healthy German Shepherd puppy. I will start her training when she gets settled in. I am going to make her a dopamine ju**ie. Videos and pictures of the night I pick her up at the airport until now are below. The video was the first time meeting her out of her crate.
