🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans This Veterans Day 🇺🇸
As we gather to commemorate Veterans Day, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. Annie joined our 60-day boot camp this summer after receiving a diagnosis of metabolic issues and a severe case of laminitis . Following extensive consultations with her veterinarian, farrier, and our rehabilitation team, we developed a tailored program to address her specific needs. During her time with us, we observed significant progress, and we were pleased to send her home with a comprehensive “at-home program.” This included specific dietary recommendations and an exercise routine designed to support her ongoing recovery.
At Tahoe Equine, our primary goal is to facilitate a successful return to the home environment for each horse, while providing continued support for their owners throughout the journey. A common question we receive is, “How long do horses typically stay with you?” The answer varies, as each horse’s recovery and the owner’s objectives are unique. Therefore, we approach each case with a customized plan, taking it one day at a time. You and see this beautiful mare’s progress below! We had a fabulous day at our facility! We started the brisk morning off with a limb dissection with Dr Shane Miller and followed up with a tour and live demonstrations of the all of our states of the art rehabilitation equipment. We went over the types of injuries we see and got to see live tissue of where those injuries are. Then a quick walk to the rehab center to see how we can treat and prevent them. The knowledge everyone gained today about understanding injured tissues and learning treatment methods at our rehab facility was truly impressive. It provided valuable insights into the rehabilitation process! We are so proud of our team working hard for this event to come together so smoothly! We would also like to thank all who attended this event!
