From Online: TUNE IN ALERT: Don't Miss the AKC National Championship Broadcast this Sunday on ABC

The AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin® will air as a three-hour special on the ABC television network on Sunday, December 29th, at 2 p.m. ET. The show features thousands of dogs from around the country and the world competing for the coveted title of America’s National Champion.

Hosting the broadcast are AKC Executive Secretary and spokesperson Gina DiNardo and noted sportscaster Carolyn Manno. This year’s AKC National Championship was the largest dog show in the Americas, with 5,637 dogs entered in Conformation from 50 states and Washington, DC, and all around the world. That, combined with competitions in Agility, Obedience, the National Owner-Handled Series Finals, junior competitions, the inaugural AKC RACH (Rally Champion) Invitational, and a special attraction of Diving Dogs, brought the total entries to 9,441. Dogs competed for multiple titles across various events and more than $150,000 in prize money, the largest in the world of dog shows.

This little “Tonia” cutie at just six month old won her first day in the regular classes! Winners Bitch and Best Opposite for 2 points, sadly just one bitch off of a major, but I’ll take it!! Thank you Judge Steven Keating for this special win and start to her show career.

Tonia is Bellamy Sunford Not My Circus by CH Bellamy Cantabria Enjoy The Journey “Alden” and out of CH Bellamy Golden Gait Merry Go Round “Pixie”, bred by me, Aimee Ford, and Debbie Owczarzak. Loving this little spitfire who was born to be a show girl! She also has two show sisters and a show brother who were at the shows last weekend and all looked amazing. Can’t wait to see what they do as they grow up!

Jovie’s turn in the spotlight. Here she is pictured at just after her first birthday, winning WB/BOW/BOS/BOBOH for a three point Major under Judge Jay Richardson at the Candy Cane Cluster. Apologies for not being able to wait for Judge Richardson as I had to get back home, but we are so very grateful for her second major now! Jovie is Bellamy That Special Something by CH La Scale Time N Money “Simba” and out of CH Bellamy Golden Gait There’s Something About Merry “Alba”. She is bred by Bellamy and Debbie Owczarzak. She loves to be in the spotlight, wether it’s strutting her stuff in the ring or being the center of attention in our home, loving on our kids… I’m looking forward to watching her mature and getting her out to more shows in 2025!

I believe the main event aka groups will start at 5pm EST today with Sporting, Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting Breeds and Junior Showmanship Competition and then all Working, Terrier, Herding Breeds, Miscellaneous and Best in Show will be Judged tomorrow.

Made it home from the fantastic Candy Cane Cluster shows and I desperately need to catch up on posting photos from this weekend, but first things first and must brag about our little redhead who stole the show today!

Bellamy That Special Something “Jovie” by CH La Scale Time N Money “Simba” and CH Bellamy Golden Gait There’s Something About Merry “Alba” (our BA litter) at just barely one year old won Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best Opposite, and NOHS BOB for a Three Point Major!! Sadly, I had skip NOHS group so I could safely get home before it got too dark over the pass. Thank you so much to Judge Jay Richardson for this recognition, it’s so appreciated! Jovie is proudly bred by myself and Debbie Owczarzak…. she now has both her majors which is a relief in case she looses her hair after her cycle (whenever that’ll be)… those typical redheads keep you on your toes!

I also want to acknowledge and congratulate the other winners of the week… Wesley (sired by Bilbo) was undefeated in Winners Dog every day he was entered, congratulations Kat! Charlie (Maverick/Serena) won RWD both days he was entered as well, congratulations owners Alex and Irena! Today Pigeon (Christian/Serena) was RWB, congratulations owners Isabella and Shelby! So proud of all my Bellamy bred dogs who showed and looked absolutely spectacular all weekend. I couldn’t be prouder of their owners for taking the utmost care for their dogs…. Each and every one of you bring me so much happiness and indescribable pride as a breeder! 🥰

Venus’ turn to shine as her win photo has arrived too! She is a full litter sister to Calcifer (who owns Lindsey recently posted) and also black brother Charlie who had a big weekend in Santa Rosa last month. Unfortunately, she and my other two are going to have to sit out the show this weekend as winter weather is moving over the pass and it’ll be too dangerous to make the drive. I’m not complaining too much as it’ll be the first day this weekend that I’m not moving everything between the houses and can relax for once! Relax as in bathe more dogs, finally reply to emails, and get ready for Thanksgiving 😜

Thank you to respected Judge Michael Faulkner on this win and also the wonderful compliments of the whole group of English Cockers that were brought to you. It meant a lot!

LOVING these picture that sums up such a fun and successful show weekend at the Napa, CA Wine Country Kennel Club dog shows!

All three Mystery litter siblings were in the ribbons this weekend. Red boy Calcifer with owner Lindsey got his very first point by winning WD, BOW, Best Puppy under Sporting Authority Judge Michael Faulkner on Saturday! His sister Venus won WB and sure Maverick won Select and BOBOH under Faulkner as well. Today Charlie won WD for another point and Venus was RWB, Maverick wasn’t entered. Eden also finished her GCH BOBOH and NOHS Group 3, and the three sisters from the Carnival litter got to strut their stuff for the last time in BPUP. Last but not least, Beagle Tex flew in from the National in TN and won an NOHS Hound Group First with Chelsea!!

Such a fun show all around and huge congratulations to all the beautiful winners and always such a fun time with friends!! Now it’s time to get back to finishing touches on the new house and then another show in two weeks 🤩

We have a new process for those of you who are interested in potentially getting on our waiting list for a future Bellamy puppy. Please visit our website and click on our “Puppies” page and submit an application. Afterwards, please email us at [email protected] to confirm. We also have added some helpful information to the same page regarding our puppy process if interested!

We do not currently have any puppies available but do plan litters in 2025 with possible availability for black puppies. Our wait for reds is extensively longer. Do remember, that puppies cannot be made to order for any specific timeframe and often our waitlist is a year or more out (as is with most reputable breeders), but it’s never too early to start forming a relationship with your breeder.

It’s brother “Charlie’s” turn to be showcased! This boy is on fire and has me so excited about his future. He is the full brother to previous posted “Venus”, pictured at 10-months-old. Charlie has only been shown twice prior to this, and with the help of his doting owners Alex and Irena Shklovsky, he won big where it counts! The first day he was Reserve Winners Dog under Judge Britt Jung. Saturday, piloted expertly by Lisa Holt Hamilton for his owners, he was Reserve Winners Dog (to the eventual BOB winner) and Best Puppy at the ECSCNC Specialty under Breeder-Judge Debbie Owczarzak. The following day, he won Winners Dog under Judge Meghen Riese-Bassel (not pictured). Thank you to all for recognizing this handsome boy, despite his silly antics in the ring… he was having so much fun! Great job to his owners for keeping him in condition and on top of training so he can be the best version of himself. Charlie is their first show dog and I am so happy to provide them which such a special dog! Their ride will be a fun one 🥰

First up is our beautiful 10-month-old girl “Venus”. She won her first points the first day by going Winners Bitch under Judge Brit Jung in a beautiful Supported Entry. Thank you! She was only shown twice during the weekend and showed beautifully. Thank you to Lisa H for taking her back in for WB (and WINNING!) for me while I had to dash off to Beagles ❤️‍🔥
