These 2 knuckleheads got rode today. First ride in several months for them both as their owner had been up to her eyeballs & life happens. I flagged them both for a bit yesterday off my mare to get their brains in a working frame of mind. Today I did about 15 minutes of ground work then stepped on & both rode off just fine.

Tempe....

3 days after the August show she pulled a shoe while riding out in the desert. Took 2 weeks to get a farrier out & by that time the foot was pretty broke up & she was a little sore.

2 days later we got hit with horrible smoke from the . 10 days of horrible AQI so we didn't ride.....at all.

Friday morning I threw her on the trailer & headed for the Summer 2022 WE Show with ZERO expectations, only hoping to remain seated.

This girl is a trooper!
Saturday she got a third in dressage and a first in Ease of Handling, ended up overall champion in her bracket for the day as well as overall high score Ease of Handling.
Sunday she got a first in dressage and a first in Ease of Handling, was Champion in her bracket for Sunday and overall high score in dressage.

Thanks go out to the Tribe (you know who you are), McKay Saddles, Chris Baskervill, her sire Pincelim II (owned by Reta Conner) and so many others......

10 years ago, I had a thought, a dream. This gritty, tough mare is showing me they can come true....

Kip had an accident v that resulted in several injuries & won't be healed up in time.

Ok my friends! Since my main mentor (Buck DESERVES this!) is cutting back on the number of clinics I have finally talked one of his most talented LONG time proteges into doing a clinic for me! This will be next Oct 21-23 and I am not quite sure whether it will be in the Grass Valley area or over here in NV. Either way I am WAY excited to be hosting a Kip Fladland Clinic!!!

So the now the question is, which classes? I am open to suggestions otherwise we all gonna be roping & playing with cows . . . . .

Have a few clients looking for their next horses. Please PM me with your options. Don't ask me "what is your budget", just send me the horse info and price.

#1 Solid gelding for use on trails and working cows on an occasional basis, no roping. 15.1 MAX rider isn't tall. Prefer buckskin and papers. Slightly green ok but no bucking or shenanigans.

#2 2-3 year old gelding, mostly unhandled but halter broke ok. Prefer QH or paint, prefer papers. The less handling the better. 15.1 MAX at maturity. Good mind valued over perfect conformation & bloodlines.

#3 Ranch gelding - been there done that in all ranch aspects from gathering to branding to doctoring. 5-9 years old. Hackamore/2-rein/bridle horse all ok.
